Do you guys think the games are fixed?
I'm not sure, but by the way the MAVS played the first 2 games compared to the way they played these last 2 games, I am beganing to think so.

i dont like the paint on that particular car, i dont think they are fixed. It seems like something is going on, but its to big of an organization to fix. D wade wants that ring as bad as Derk, there going to try equally as hard. But a bad night is a bad night. A ref can HELP determine a game but when your not making baskets and nobody else is stepping up its hard to win.

I could believe that they stretch the games out on purpose. Money corrupts, and many players wouldn't pass a criminal background check for other jobs, especially in the NBA.

lol... I would say less than 5% of NBA players couldnt pass a criminal background check for another job, far less than 'many'.

You should read this book (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0060726040/002-1047162-7592003?st=%2A&v=glance&n=283155) and think about it. It was a followup he did to Pros & Cons (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0446524034/ref=pd_sim_b_1/002-1047162-7592003?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=283155) about the NFL.
It depends of course on what the background check was for.
Hell no, they're not fixed.

There were some BS calls last night, but that goes with any game in any sporting event. The Mavericks' sorry excuse for performance last night far outwieghed any other circumstance. I mean shit... Dirk scored ONE field goal in the first quarter and ONE field goal early in the second. THAT'S IT!!!

Never thought so until recently. I think this sport is easier since they have so many games to play before they win. When you think about it, the more games they play the more money EVERYONE makes (NBA, ABC, Beer companies, bars, etc). I can see them saying, hey, yall go to at least game 6, then have the last game be the real thing.....

I think Mark Cuban told Avery to lose this one. Cause he knows we've got the next 2, and it's coming home to Dallas.
But I don't think he told them to lay down a 24 point loss. Good fucking GOD

The mavs look like they have given up. They look like ass, I was sick watching that game. Dirk is playing like he did last year when they got knocked out of the playoffs. He is shooting terrible...If they lose Sunday its over for the Mavs.

It's Osama Bin Laden's fault the finals are rigged. Way to terrorize NBA fans.

Welcome to the dark side. The NBA has always been rigged. They "arrange" to have the number of games they need to get the most out of their advertising dollars generated, merchandise sales, TV ratings, etc. If you had any doubts, just look at some of the games in the past. Take the Spurs-Mavs series. The Mavs were up what, 27 points in one game and had to come from behind at the end to win. There is no way a team of PROFESSIONALS could/should blow a lead that big unless they were told to do so. It's rigged and it always has been. That's all.

Now, I wouldn't go that far. I don't think the Spurs would intentionally give up that many points, but I do believe the NBA has the refs "help" guide a game a certain way. I think the biggest key to Dallas losing has been Dirk. He didn't produce diddly in the last 2 games, and they've lost. He had some of you crying "foul" when he didn't win league MVP. If the potential league MVP doesn't produce for his team, it's gonna be a bad outcome, period.

I can understand the rigged thing, cause being a mavs fan I see things I think are unfair, but at the same time the ref's can only do so much to alter the game, with out ejections. the mavs have to play like they want it. they seem to me like they are just expecting to win.
the nba isn't fixed. untill proven otherwise I will just chalk it up to the mavs being the mav's of old
