What do you think?

He better be, because that's the only way he will be able to handle him. Dirk will wear his ass out! He's younger and moves much better. I knew free-throws weren't Shaq's forte, but DAMN! 1-for-8 ?

Good point. Makes you feel kinda good when you know you can personally beat Shaq's F/T record from last night! :D

Someone please explain to me how a guy gets a WIDE OPEN GASH on his nose and a Flagrent isn't called? Hell, in Hockey it doesn't matter what you did but if you make a guy bleed, that's a Major!!!

Another reason why Basketball sucks.

yeah I dont know why Shaq sucks so bad at free throw shooting. Always looks like a shot putt attempt more than a shot attempt for him. Maybe he should go old school style and try the underhand "granny" shot.....I think Rick Barry use to do it.

Oh wait, I think Rick Barry has something to say about that idea. :D

It wasn't intentional... thank God you're not a ref. A flagrant would be Shaq throwing his elbow into Stack's nose, not Stack running into Shaq's elbow while his arms are up, trying to block a shot.

Yeah, and how many times is that still called a foul? Too often because Basketball's rules are impossible to get right.

While we're on refs: When was the last time the NBA hired new refs? It's about time to give some NCAA refs a promotion. Is there a NBA ref under the age of 50? I don't know about anyone else, but I'm 27 and my vision is already starting to go to crap.

The officials are always more lenient in the finals. You won't see Dirk going for the basket if Shaq is anywhere near him, he leaned his lesson last night. It looked like Dampier had Shaq pretty well covered most of the game last night btw.

They need to tone down the travelling calls though. I saw a couple of blown ones last night.

Other than the split nose, I really was pleased with the calls last night.

I'm suprised that Dirk's jaw was still intact after Shaq elbowed him in the face during the first quarter. That shit had to hurt!

For all we know it could be broken. Dirk would never tell.

That is a common misconception. It is at the refs discretion to give a major if there is blood in hockey, but not a rule.

First of all it was NOT a flagrant. Stackhouse was looking for the foul. 2nd it's the freaking diesel!! This guy does whatever the fuck he wants. Charles Barkley got man handled years ago also. Did you guys not get a kick outta the games when Shaq would completely punk Bradley out?

It is a rule. If there is a high stick and there is blood its an automatic major.

really? 99% of the time the ref will give a major but it is not a rule.

I kinda think he does it on purpose and makes it look unintentional. An intimidation thing.....Not sure yet....only time will tell.

My dad was saying the same thing. Shaq has been in the league a long time and he knows what he is doing.

I thought you weren't watching the nba any more?

and you can't get a flagrent foul if you are just standing there with your arms up and another guys runs into your elbow with his nose. the only reason that was a fould on shaq was becasue he was behind the that little half circle around the basket. if not it would have been a charge on stack

shaq sucks, he commits a foul every time he goes for a layup or dunk. but they don't call it on him because they need him to stay in the game for the fans. the one thing I have always hated about the nba is that some players get away with fouls because of who they are or because they won some award for D. just like jordan either never fouled out or almost never did.

Im not saying he is good or bad, just his attitude away from it all i find entertaining.
