Yep its bullshit. He has been in the league 8 years? played like an MVP for most of them but the media says he is a top 20 player? He wont be good, yadda, yadda.... IMO writing good about him now is BS, its kinda late don't you think.

The same guys writing about him now didn't even give Dirk a thought in the MVP voting this year.

I do agree that Dirk doesn’t get any respect but neither do the rest of the Mavs. You can probably say he’s the most underrated player and the Mavs are one of the most underrated teams. But that Slam article was writing about how he should win the MVP like 2 months ago when the voting hadn’t started. If anything they might have helped him a little. The ESPN one probably just starting to recognize him cause when the Mavs go to the finals and the whole world sees Dirk playing like a MVP, they would look stupid not ever noticing such a great player. Expect lots of publications to start noticing once they get in the finals. :rolleyes:
