the alarm i have used to work great...but i think who ever installed it...just did a quick job with the wiring...and it's probably out of date

every once in a while...all the power to my car would go out...the kill switch would kill everything and i would be stuck for while till....it decided to unlock...

Thursday night in down town....i was comin home and i couldnt unlock my car...dead as a doornail!! finally after about 45 mins it reset itself i guess and i was able to unlock the car and go home....the next morning i unlocked my car...but every was dead...i tried to start the car...no sound...nothing...then the alarm went off for no reason!

I know my alarm is wired to my Ignition...how do i disconnect the alarm so i can start my car???

what is one of the best alarms i can get???

It takes VERY LITTLE POWER for an alarm to function. So, it may disarm, but when you turn the ignition key on a car with a dead battery, your attempt to start the car sucks all the available power from the battery which effectively removes power from the alarm. When you stop trying to crank the car, there is enough power to power the alarm so it goes off making you think the alarm is at fault when it is really the battery.

Most Directed brand alarms are good. I prefer the Clifford G5 line of products for many reasons like multiple normally open kills, more accurate digital sensors, independent inputs for sensors, safe remote start on manual transmission cars, etc.

i charged the battery today... then everything went crazy...i was in the car...the doors locked...then unlocked...the lights dimed alil the alarm went on then off then on then off again...

i think it has something to do with bad wiring...and the battery is probably part of the prob too!! what would cuase a battery to drain THAT MUCH...in like acouple hours..i was driving it back from downtown...besides the trouble trying to unlock it..i had no probs starting it and driving it home...

i've had this lil prob with the alarm/battery before....but never this bad!

i would take it some place but...i cant start my car...it wont even try to start...no juice...but i get plenty of power on the volt guage

The brain should have two fuses on it. If you disconnect the main power fuse (should be 5 amp) then the alarm will no longer be a problem for you.

ok...i'm gonna try that

I've had the battery hooked up to a charger all day...and everytime i try to crank the motor...it dies almost instantly!

i dont know what tha hell would be causing it to drain that fast....it must be grounding somewhere....

sounds like a battery problem, like EW said alarms dont pull crap for current off your cars electrical system. hence the main power fuse 5A

The problem is your battery. You could have a dead cell and it will never charge right again. Put a battery in it and I bet you have no more problems.

Sounds like a battery problem to me too. I've had the exact same issues in the past and a new battery fixed the problems.
