DEBADGED my car need help getting this excess glue off ** PICS

I actually debadged it with floss then used goo gone and all the glue came off except for this hard ass residue....
I even buffed it with carnuba wax.... anybody have any pointers or could help me out tomorrow?
I dont know how to get it off.....

oh ok any other input i tried hair dryer but to no avail.... only helped getting all the other glue off not this pos stuff...

goo gone ... and you'll need to wipe it off in a hurry.

might need to lightly scrape it w/ an old credit card. but it will work.

i tried goo gone bro it got all the main stuff off but not this stuff.... i even left it on there for like 5 minutes then tried it with a credit card would F the paint up bad though.....

Possibly lighter fluid. It's a broke man's adhesive remover. Although you are definitely gonna need to wax/polish that area when you're eventually done.

ps - i didn't read the first post well enough. You had already said you tried goo gone. lol. :o

Hmmm - there's a couple of ways you could probably do this. Take some fine grit rubbing compound from 3M and that should take it all off. Or, you can soak it in Bug&Tar remover and then go over it with a clay bar after. Take your time, it would not be the best idea to try and force the stuff off.

Edit - My best advice would be to call a local Auto Body Shop. They'll know exactly what works and it might save you some costly damage. That's the best plan. Go do that.

my buddy got a thing called a rubber wheel and took his off............ could probably get from a place that sells auto paint or something ( he got his off of a tool truck)

Be careful with the puck eraser, you can burn through the paint. Don't even try wet-sanding it, you WILL fuck it up.

My friend has a black car and debadged his... he used lighter fluid and some elbow greese.

I second that. I had a dealer badge on my car when I bought it and couldn't get some of the residue off, so I whipped out a clay bar and that took most of it off. A heat gun held about a foot away melted the rest and I was able to wipe it off.

A hair dryer and goo gone always worked for me. :confused: Try some of that adhesive remover that comes in a spray can. Make sure the arrow on the can is pointed towards the car. :)

they call them eraser wheels. We got ours at English Color. They work extremely fast without harming the paint. I just did my friends Yukon in about 15 minutes...

Eraser Wheel! less than 10 bucks at english color, and then clay bar it. I just did a black Yukon in 10-15 minutes.
4 or 5 badges done very fast....

I will stand behind what Bullitt3246 said, because it was MY Yukon and that eraser wheel kicks ass! It's the only thing that will do the job right without harming your paint, and pocketbook!!!! :D
