Me and some buddies are going out there for some runs on Friday. There's me, an '01 GT 5spd that's stock, a stock S/C Cobalt, possibly an LS1 WS6 6spd, and whoever the hell else decides to come. So who's up for it?

Yes, that we do... As of now (and I think final), the plan is to meet at the Racetrack gas station off of 377 (if you're coming north, exit and make a right) at 7:30pm, and then going over to Denton Dragway about 8. My cell # is 214-405-9224 if anyone needs any directions or whatnot.

Hey man, I work at that gas station! I have never been out to Denton Dragway, is the track any good? Will have to race each other one of these days.

Yeah man, it's a pretty good track. Much better launchpad than Kennedale. I'm at that gas station a few times a week... ever seen my car?

I'm actually the Area Supervisor for all of the Denton, Lewisville, Carrollton, and the Colony stores. I probably have seen your car there in Denton before. My daily driver is a black Ford Focus 4 dr. If you ever see it parked on the left side of the parking spaces, stop in and shoot the breeze for a few.

Got there at 8ish and the track was shut down. Someone in a Chevy II had not gotten out of it when he got squirly and ended up flipping around the 1/8th mile line. I got two runs in so it was pretty much a waste!

I did get to see about 30 cop cars chasing someone north of Denton on I-35. Sounded like his tires were shot out but he was still going.

I'm glad I didn't go just for 2 runs and a wreck. hope the driver is o.k. I probably would have broke something anyways with the way my week has been going.

I got 5 runs in (stayed past midnight), but my best was only a 9.1... I know this car has 8s in it, just need to get it there.

Got in 6 runs and won the 8.0 index shootout. Lousy $60. Waste of time, I spent more in fuel than $60!

Hey! It was good meeting you and the guys.

That second run was only a 7.8@92. I only 60 footed a 1.8. I think I have a bad bushing.

Guess I will do some work on it and make it back out... :)

Surprisingly, Kennedale was the place to be last night. Even with the Pro Mods , there wasn't a whloe lot of people running. Between Pro Mod rounds, people were making pass after pass. Some made 10+ passes! Track prep was pretty good too.

Went to Denton today, (Saturday) and the track prep was shit... lbt almost ran into the guardrail a couple times, and almost knocked out the center cone... best was 6.59 @ 105 and change... Management needs to be more ontop of there track prep... they scraped up looked like a couple hundred pounds of LOOSE rubber from the STREET CARS. They should have run Slicks before Street and Radials....
