I found me the Arai helmet I have been wanting. Problem is I have no idea on how hte Arai helmets fit. Its a pretty good deal and I really don't want to pass it up. It is on Ebay. Do the Arai helmets run smaller than most helmets or bigger?

Well the good thing is I have the cash money for them, I just sold my jetski today :D , but i need to pay off a CC when that comes in. hmmmm

Buy a helmet based on fit, there are many shell shapes because there are many head shapes, and *I* think that buying one that you've never stuck your noggin in is absurd.
If you find one you like on the web, go test fit the size and shell model at a local store.
I'll answer your question about fitting. On my head, a Shoei X-11 I wear a S, Shoei RF-1000 a M, Arai Corsair an XS, Scorpion M, HJC M. I do have a Scorpion and Arai Tommy Gun for sale for a good price. Both used for approx a month.

Motor Liberty and Cycle Gear both stock Arai helmets. I'd suggest going down there and trying one on because they do have different shell shapes that can fit your head differently even on the same size helmet.

Deffinetly try them on first and also if your buying from ebay make sure you find out the "born on date"... Helmets do expire

sweet....lemme borrow your bike..i miss mine....i promise ill only do a few wheelies
I had to go to the Suzuki/Yamaha dealership on HWY 10 in Hurst to try on a S and XS Arai and a S Shoei X-11. TheCycleGear in Bedford doesn't carry and Corsairs smaller than a M. I didn't look at the other Arai's, and M is the smallest Shoei I found in X-11 or RF1000. Try them on with your gear, strapped down, and in a bike riding and tucked position. Simulate looking over your shoulder at traffic. A helmet may seem to fit fine looking forward, but then spins on your head, etc during the little things you do.
