Whats the voting like, is this the same kind of voting like aer where you can have like friends vote for your car or is it managed where you have assigned voting choices.

AER was participant voting...and if you were gathering up friendy votes then I have to say AER has definatly gone down hill from what it was the past 2 years...sad.

I'm not 100% sure - but many car shows like these are run through participant voting. Most of the co's that throw these shows are not qualified, nor have the time, to judge all the cars themselves. I definitely agree that vote swapping (i.e. Hey, I'm car #X and I'll vote for you if you vote for me) sucks ass. :mad: But alas, it's just as hard to find qualified judges who aren't bias to their own favorite makes/models/mods. Ya know?

Instead come out to meet new folks, check out some cool rides, and (from what I've gathered thus far from the dealership) probably pick up some great prizes. :cool: You may get a shiny new trophy, too. ;)

Most shows are participant voting but the good ones hand out ballots and have circled maybe 6 catergories you can only vote for and you cant vote for your self, each ballot is different and is fair and the judges dont have to qualify and judge, no vote swapping and this style should be passed to all shows this why people dont come back to shows.

Because even though AER is participant voting I didnt see any "vote gathering" if you will the past couple of years, every car that won did so because it was a nice car and people truely liked it over the others in its respective class.

Does anyone have any information on the Cancer Society Car Show at Johnny Carino's , NE Side of Hwy 287 in Waxahachie, Sunday 2-6 PM? I might want to go to that one too.

Thanks for coming out. This was the 1st year they have done this so that is one of the reason's it was not a very larger turn out also for the fact that there was a lot of other show and TMS was going as well. We hope that next years show is much larger and that you will attend that one as well.
