Well, I am still waiting for the official updated points release but the numbers that a buddy put together have me in the lead by 56 points after 11 races!!!
I am sure the 5 dropped races at the end of the season to determine the champion will play into this but If I can keep up the podiums and maybe a win or two more, who knows, I could win a $3 trophy and earn the right to be the NASA American Iron Champion for 2006 in my rookie year!!!!
I know there are a lot of races left in the year but I AM STOKED!!!! Gonna have to keep it clean the rest of the year and not get caught letting the air out of someone's tires!!! ;)

Congrats fool! Is John George's new car going to be ready for the next race?
Yeah, but he is going to have to put 300 lbs in it if that motor keeps making the power it has... which puts him up with me....I might be in the market for a cambered rear end soon but I think a real functional wing and some creative Aero work might be in the works to make up for it...... :o That car is a beast though so only time will tell. Only thing I can count on is a bunch of new car bugs that might plague him for an event or two but I will do what I can to hold on to the lead for now.....he just might have to put locks on his valve stems! ;) :p

Should prove to be an interesting year to be sure. However, it is a long season and the heat hasn't even set in yet. Good luck! Should prove to be interesting.
Congrats Matt. come out to a gtg sometime soon, haven't talked to you in a while.

Congrats! Keep up the good work.
Manny, John should be calling you guys for a dyno tune with the fast system on his car...it is running REALLY lean and he wants to get that fixed as well as get the power down a BUNCH!!

Yeah......car not finished say what?!! LOL! You should have seen him trying to get the rollers going on the dyno this past weekend! His eyes were about 12" in diameter!!! That above ground dyno shit in a 430hp car with a 5.5" clutch setup isn't all that fun!

You have done good without me on the track Matt, are you ready for MSR-H? ;-)
Lets not talk about the dyno at MSR-C, that is one dyno I will avoid as much as possible! Not to mention the A/F is messed up!
On the dyno at HPP the car was fine, we didn't make any changes to the FAST XFI system in the beginning. But we did get the power down to your Mod motor level. ;-) You know I'm just giving you a hard time!
Beware the car is tuned and was on the track Sat for about 8 laps! Holly crap Batman!
The car is at weight and power now!
Bruce Griggs and I spent all day at HPP on Friday.
Sat. was a big day as well adding weight and changing a few things Bruce didn't like. ;-)
This car is ready.....are you?
You will have to work very hard and long to get that trophy from my garage and your name on it! ;-)

You have done good without me on the track Matt, are you ready for MSR-H? ;-)
I was going to call you last night but realized it was really late. Seeing you had been kind of quiet lead me to believe you getting the car sorted and ready to run....finally! :p did you have any issues with those headers dragging?
Car is ready to go right now! Finished up the rear brake upgrade did the usual maintenance items. Pulled some more weight off the car and might attack the sound deadening stuff this coming weekend AND the purge cannister off the rear....maybe 40 pounds more? I am hoping the Lexan arrives this week as I will be in NY next week and don't want to thrash getting it put in. Gonna try and make me a few windsheild clips this week in prep for it arriving.
Glad to hear the car is running good and safe....figured something was wrong with that old shitty dyno especially since they got it from kwik kar.
PM me on the side and let me know what times you were running...if you want to divulge any secrets. ;) It will atleast give me an idea of how far ahead you will be! Heard rumors that Dave Capps was finally in the 21's and 22's last weekend too....Houston is going to be interesting for sure!
Call me later tonight.
Any plans to paint the car before Houston or you going to take a mulligan? Wouldn't mind seeing the monstrously flat dyno graph either!!! I am sure the average of the area under the curve is pretty near what the peak is. It is surely going to be a badass muther fugger!!!

Yes very quiet! ;-)
No Header drag at MSR-C, but MSR-H will be a different story going down the straight after the long sweeper.
The Capps car looked fast and they did mention running in the 1:22's. It will be very interesting to see the weight and power of that car.
I did not even go to the tower to get the times to be honest with you. I was just doing a shakedown. The brakes were not bedded yet nor did the Oil and Water temp get above 150 deg.
I will say it was fun! ;-)
Paint, who needs paint!
I need to get a few other things done first.
