Out going for what should have been a liesurely late night stroll on the dirtbikes and I let what turned out to be a fucking idiot ride my wifes bike. I'm rolling down the road about 40 or so and have this sudden scary thought that it's dark and what if this guy is coming at me on my side of the road? I slowed my roll a bit to about 30 or so and squeeze over to within a foot or two of the ditch and not 3 seconds later this dumbass is on me. I think my grip tagged his bicep? I still can't figure out what the hell he was doing within three feet of my ditch.
Now the first two fingers on my clutch hand are shattered (smashed when the lever went back on me) and two brand new bikes are damaged. Not to mention these other mementos. Count on the bikes is two new levers, two new side number plates, one front and one rear fender. Brand new last week. Damnit. Last time anyone rides my shit ever again.

You're cool Lou. Some people I will still let ride. I'll just be a bit more selective is all.
And hurt like a SOB it does. My wife says there was some guy that looked like me trying real hard not to cry like a baby after it happened. I still don't know who the hell that pussy was but he better stay the hell away from here... :p

Chuck had it too? Damn. This isn't fun that's for sure.
I just got out of the shower and had to scrub all of it with a loofah to keep it clean. It's about halfway hard to just set your jaw and go to scrubbing raw nerve endings.

From what I've heard that guy is pretty good so, I'm sure he'll have pleanty of pics for you.
EDIT: And I would have to say the easiest wheelie to ride is performed by standing on the pegs. That was the easiest way for me to learn anyway. I won't be trying the shit he's doing anytime soon.
Oh yeah, and where are your stunt pics 10sec302?

acutally wheelies are easy stupid..its getting them to go slow where the hard part comes in..in that pic...my buddy was walking next to me taking pics..he had to slow his walk down too....and highchairs are easy to..but without a handbrake i cant slow them down and if i got behind the bp..im gonna scrap bar and get stuck until it stops or i fall off...ill get some pics for you later today when i go ride..just so you know im better than you

Lets not get ahead of ourselves here morons.
Theres a big difference between brave and stupid. I choose not to ride street bikes because I drive crazy enough in my car. I know that I'd kill myself on one of those things. BradM since youre kissing ass, where are your pics? I'll leave the road rash and wheelchairs to you fellas

lol, so you dont have a motorcycle right?
BradM
04-27-2006, 11:58 AM
I do have a motorcycle. It's a 2001 Yamaha V Star 1100. I can get the front wheel up on it but it's REAL hard to balance and I don't have the patience to practice it. Besides, I use it to cruise. No need in tearing it up stunting. If I wanted to stunt I would get an old 900rr or something.
Do you have a bike?
10sec302
04-27-2006, 12:37 PM
Hell yeah I have a bike,
It's a BMX 3000 with the Stunt pegs option, and dual reflectors. I have the Jeremy McGrath handlebar grips on order so they should be in be Monday.
Maybe we can ride together sometime.

No problem :p , normally I get people stirred up because it can be boring as shit here at work and some days the board is kinda dead so I'll try to get someone going.
I'd love to have a street bike, but a friend of mine got put in a wheelchair riding one and it scared the hell out of me, to where I'll probably never get one. I hear that it's not so much the rider, it's the people around you that dont see you that cause more wrecks than the rider.
BradM

That's the truth. It doesn't matter how good you are if there is a semi barreling down on ya. Or another rider in the case of the guy who started this thread!
And as for your being hesitant to ride it's a good idea to stay off of a bike until you're not uneasy being out and worrying that you might get smashed like a pizza. Until then you might be second guessing yourself too much to enjoy the ride.

04-27-2006, 02:46 PM
Yeah I have a shitload of friends who have them and I've ridden a few of their bikes and man, it's a whole new ballgame riding one of them. I guess the saying is true about them being called Crotch Rockets, because it felt like sitting on a damn rocket. The acceleration is amazing but I know myself. I'd wreck it the first week I had it because I would try some dumb shit on it and end up hurting, if not killing myself. The bad thing about a street bike compared to a car, is if you fuck up on a street bike, You normally dont have more than about 1 or 2 chances to do it before something bad happens.
I seen a Hyabusa or however you spell it at a cruise once. It was custom painted pearl white with a blue pearl in it and had the "I think" extended swing arm or whatever it's called that makes the wheelbase longer. Anyways it was lowered, with just about every chrome option available and had a blue neon right under the gas tank that was shining down on the chrome motor. Probably the finest bike I've ever seen. Wanted to make me go take out a damn loan..... :o
