The CHEAPEST bet would be the la quinta, right across the way from the capital. its a bit of a walk, but what isnt? Anyway, the Omni is nice, but kind of pricey. Still have to walk a bit, too. But La Quinta is the bomb. But they have Valets, which is gay becuase you have to tip them. Well, you don't HAVE to. I got a 2 bed room for 109 a night at La Quinta. I think the same at the Omni is like 200 or 250, not sure. Actually I just looked at my ticket stub its $159. I met Quinten Tarentino there a few weeks back.

6th Street Rocks !! :D (except for the homeless dude wearing only a thong)
Capital Place Hotel was OK. Pretty much on 6th street. Cost me 2 bills for the night. Next time I will probably try to find a cheaper place since we just spent most of our time on 6th street anyhow.

Ahhh, I see you met Leslie...one of our local celebrities. He's way overrated. I mean, I don't know about you, but I don't really care to see a hairy, grown-ass man walking around in just shoes and a banana hammock

It's not a pretty sight. I have to see that everyday, he is not just on 6th street he walks all over. I saw him in HEB I thought I was gonna puke.

I think he moved out of Austin a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if he'll be back. I haven't been to 6th since a couple weeks after school ended. It was pretty dead. The biker rally shit they had a while back was sweet though. Some shady shit happens on 6th. My advice is to keep your wallet in your front pocket. Plus when the bars let out, there are a LOT of people looking for fights.

Yes, that place is a real cool place. It is an old hotel that has been redone. It has a nice courtyard as well. I walked by it last year and thought it would be a cool place to stay.
