well this should be interesting.... just swapped out the 289 with a 351 because the 289 couldn't keep speed though the mountains with the steady incline with a stout headwind. but it's untested so i hope we get at least 119 miles out of it saturday.

we entered the 105MPH class so our target time is 33:42 each way. we will be running our usual GPS but this year we will be using two countdown timers instead of the normal stopwatches.

the field is full at 140 cars and here is the breakdown. i can't believe they have 3 unlimiteds... i bet only one of them finish:rolleyes:

135 - 10

125 - 12
120 - 15
115 - 8
110 - 21
105 - 10
100 - 16
95 - 2
90 - 5
85 - 1

as you can see, 110MPH is the fastest you can go because the entry fee increases at 115MPH+. LOL

yeah, we came out but left kind of early because we still had a few things to do to the car. hell just put a new starter on it a couple hours ago.

and to think we bumped up to 105!! :D

i'll take more pics and post them up when we get back. i heard that there are quite a few rookies this year and that means different cars. supposed to be a 427 camaro. i'll get a pic of that if it is worthy.

we leave out at 5 a.m. tomorrow... so i'm hitting the sheets. :o
