In the other thread I posted this:

Maybe the Spurs should be worried a little about the Lakers...they've been kind of hot lately.Actually, I stand corrected. I didn't realize the Kings currently held the 8th spot and the Flakers had moved up to 7th. Anyway, that figures to be an interesting series based on the season results. All the games were very close.

(1) San Antonio (61-19)
Games remaining: 2 (1 Home, 1 Away)
vs. +.500: 0 vs. Div: 0
(8) Sacramento (43-38)
Games remaining: 1 (1 Home, 0 Away)
vs. +.500: 0 vs. Div: 0

Spurs lead 2-1
Nov. 21: Spurs 96 at Kings 93

Spurs still have to win one more game to clinch.

The Spurs (61-19), who host Utah on Monday, need one more win or one more Dallas loss to seal the Southwest Division title and secure home-court advantage until the NBA Finals with the West's top seed. The Mavericks (60-21) beat the Jazz 111-95 later Sunday night.

well, I fully concede that the likelyhood of them winning the division is very high, but it's possible the mavs could still pull it out.

The new season starts this weekend.

We'll see if the Spurs can still hang with the Mavs after that last beating they took.
