What ever you do...don't use razorblades!!! When taking tint off take a black trash bag and a spray bottle with water(and a little soap). Spray your window and stick the garbage bag to the window. Let it sit out in the sun. The tint and glue should come right off. If the tint is already off get some white scotch brite pads and some soapy water. Do not use green scotch brite pads. They will scratch. If that doesn't work get some 3M trin adhesive remover.

I will try the white scotch brites and the adhesive remover. The tint is already off.

ammonia and a razor blade, spray it on, drip plastic bag over back seat. spray and let sit for about 15 mins. use a razor blade, then use soapy water and a razor blade after the glue is off to make sure the window is clean, then use windex or a glass cleaner as your final cleaning solution then spray soapy water and lay your new tint. Trust me I knows this from ALOT of experiance. Or just hire me to do it for you.

hot water, soap and some "fine" steel wool will do the trick.

why not use a Razor blade? They are perfectly fine to use EXCEPT on the back window where the rear defrost strips are. Other than that your method is good for the rear glass.

i took the tint off of my car cause it was screwed, and i used windex and a scraper like they use for taking inspection/registration stickers off. I bought one at walmart that is about 5 inches wide that was nice cause it takes off more at a time. with the windex, the shit came right off.

i used a blow dryer and windex. it worked great.

I may get a lot of shit for this, but you can use a wet Magic Eraser (melamine sponge) and some elbow grease. That has worked well for me.

3M makes an adhesive remover that is extremely potent. O'reillys should have some in aerosol or liquid form. It will be with the body shop supplies in a red and white can. I used it to take the residue left from limo tint off some t-tops.
