Back-to-back-to-back homeruns on back-to-back-to-back pitches is the kind of shit that kills win streaks. :(

The streak ends at 2. I wish Houston Street pitched for the Rangers instead of the A's. I knew what was coming when they put him in for the save. :(

Well Street blew it today. He gave up 4 runs in the top of the 9th inning and Texas came back and won 5-3. Kam Loe looks to be the real deal. He only gave up 1 unearned run in 7 innings. Rangers have won 3 out of the last 4. Now if Cordero hadn't blown the game the other night, the Rangers could be looking at .500 tomorrow.

I think before today's game Huston Street had converted his last 21 save attempts. I wish the Rangers had him.

I really like Kam Loe. It just makes me sad that he's still winless. I wanna say all of his outings have been solid so far, but I think that's an understatement. It's just amazing how much focus he has for his amount of experience. He seems to always keep his cool.

Denny, and all you other Nix-haters - you see that double play? I mean, he had all the time in the world and he short-hopped it (twice), and only got the guy by a few steps, but it looks clean in the box score. :D

He took forever to throw that ball. He did get lucky by the guy underestimating that he'd throw it... very lucky. Oh and he got another hit  He's well on his way to a .100 BA (almost).

32 at bats this year...
3 hits...
17 strike outs...
$345,260 salary!!!
I do gotta give it to him, he gets paid mad money for doing absolutely nothing. I bet he could sell a watch to a blind man!

Cordero is legit, but does have a few times where he gets in trouble. If we had Cordero and Houston Street, we'd be set on closers.

In my perfectly honest, perfectly correct opinion, he's overrated, overpaid, and over the hill, but they could do somewhat worse.

How is that? He's only 30 years old and has a NASTY high upper 90's slider that blows just about everyone away.

Cordero had ONE very solid year as our closer and that's it. Last year, he was above average, but not lights out like the year before. That's what Texas needs is a 'lights out' closer. Of course, those are few and far between. At least he has a reliable set up man so far in Akinori. He seems to have pitched well so far.

I guess we could bail Uegeuth Urbina out of jail and use him as a closer again. All he did was hack up a bunch of people and pour gas on them, it's not like he actually set them on fire or anything.

Another blown save.
Throw five-plus sliders in a row, fall behind in the count 1-0 to a good hitter, and groove a fastball. Yaaaaay!

Hahahahahahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahahahahahaha!
Not even a fielder's choice!
And now Young has a chance to extend his 9-game hitting streak and win the game.

Now they are 9-9. At least they are .500 However, .500 ball isn't going to cut it and they better get on it and rake some wins up while everyone else is struggling in the AL West.

Another damn blown save. At least Young bailed us out. And props to the ump who made the right call on the play before Young got the winning hit. The 2nd baseman was clearly NOT on the bag when he got the ball. Something definitely needs to happen with Cordero. It appears that he just ain't gonna cut it.
Geor!
