I'm a geek... I play CoD2 ALOT.... and i'm tired of it lagging out during a real heavy fire fight, or when there's lots of smoke in one area.
Here's what i think i have currently: 128MB DDR NVidia GeForce FX 5200
I know that you can spend a small fortune on these things, but i'm not looking to do that. I just want the bare minimum that will keep me up to speed when things get hectic....
Is this one decent??: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4765188

Do you have a PCI-E slot or AGP? I'm not familiar enough with the 5200 to know. :D

Will the new card not just replace the current one?
If i do go to Fry's... what should i be looking for?
"it reccomends" 256mb or more, but like i said... I don't want to drop a fortune on this thing.

For $10 more than that older ATI card you listed, you could get a much more recent and capable Nvidia

Mail order is your best bet. Fry's prices on video cards is really high. I saved $149 on my last 7800GT over Fry's price. Try Monarch Computer (http://www.monarchcomputer.com) or NewEgg. Monarch has a 7600GS for $145 that would be a great card for awhile.

I will 2nd the fry's comment. When I got my 6600GT agp a while back I got it online for 125-130. Frys wanted 250 for the exact same card.
I'd look at the 7000 series nvidia agp cards and see what your budget allows.
I plan on getting by with my 6600 till I convert to pci express
