I'll be in the market for a new laptop in the next couple of months and I was wondering what you guys would recomment. Need something with the following requirements:

12" to 14" Wide Screen.
Built in Combo CD/DVD Recorder.
Minimum 80 GB HD.
Minimum 512 MB RAM.
Video Card with at least 128 MB RAM.
Around 5 lbs (as thin and lite as possible).
Built in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

So far I've been looking at an HP dv1550se, a Dell XPS M140, and (gulp) even an Apple MacBook Pro or PowerBook G4. Switching to Mac has a lot of appeal if I can run WinXP on it. What would you guys recommend? Trying to keep the price between $1300 to $2000.

The G4 won't run windows, it still uses the old processor. The Macbook pro will just fine but it's still a 32 bit processor, a little spendy for something thats not absolutely top of the line.

It plays BF2, Call of Duty and Counter Strike with no problems. Also fry's has it for $699.
I upgraded it to a Gig of ram for $60 bucks.
