phpBB install help

I am so confused. I dl phpBB and unzipped it to a folder on my comp, then uploaded that folder to ftp site, now what do I do, I tried reading the install stuff and what not, but I have no clue what to do. I have mysql with my hosting, i created a database with dsn, but dont know what to do now. If it would be easier, you can call me, or you can post here. Thanks in advance.

There should be a subdirectory, named install or something along those lines. Within there is a setup php file (maybe setup.php? Not sure). So you would go to that page (for example, http://yoursite/install/setup.php) and answer the questions.

i found the file you are talking about and opend it, and it was a bunch of code that i dont really understand. The only time i have delt with any code like this was when i had a counter strike server that i ran, but that was many years ago and had a buddy helping me with it. Looking at this file is like looking at a page written in latin, and i dont read latin.

Open it via a web browser. And if you open the file via wordpad, it should be plain text and very readable (regardless of comprehension of what it says). Point is, if it looks wacky then it may be bad.
