I'm having problems with adware. I have been getting massive adware pop-ups and cant seem to get rid of them. Also have been getting alot of virus issues. I've used my adware program but its not picking up any of these adwares. ive used trial versions of winantivirus and has shown a lot more than i thought i had. anyone know any free programs that will help me get rid of all this mess.

download spybot seek and destory. Use it.

Download adaware. Use it.
Download hijack this.
Post the log here after running, and before deleting anything.
Someone here will be able to tell you what to delete, and what not to.
hijack is a registry level spyware/adware remover....if you dont know what youre doing, and u delete random shit, you can render your system DEAD.

did the first two but not gonna do the last one, dont wanna fuck anything up. fist two programs helped. only problem i have now is my system folder opens up at start up by itself, other than that everything else has stopped.

lol @ hijack this. I lost my copy at work. I was working on someone's computer when i plugged in my flash drive that had a bunch of different scanners which included hijack this. as soon as i plugged it in, mcafee popped up (from their comp) saying hijack_this.exe contained something like generic.trojandl.exe or some shit. so yeah, its gone :(

otherwise, use some virus scan programs as well, they can help find adware. try pandascan and trend micro house call.

lastly, boot into safe mode and delete all of your temp files (windows, IE and IE cache).
