I think that country needs a revolution, to overthrow the government. I'd love to see most of these people that are so proud of Mexico go back and fight to make that country worth a shit. Let private industry begin mining the country for metals and minerals, and allow petroleum drilling and refining. Get some money in the country for chrissakes.

Begin marketing for international tourism, not just spring breakers. I just got back from central Mexico this past weekend, that part of the country is beautiful.

Maybe the USA can work a plan that for every illegal immigrant that goes back to Mexico, we will promise a certain amount of infrastructure to be built. Can't give money to the federales or gov't officials, they would just steal it.

This is just a stream of consciousness here, a brainstorm. What kind of ideas can you come up with to improve things for Mexico so that there won't be such a demand for people to come here for work? Fat chance that we'll send 10-20million people back on a bus to live in third world conditions without starting a real war.

Well there isn't just one problem that can be fixed with out it running into another. The corruption in that Gov't is insane. Their health as a country(diseases, water purification, waste management) is as well horrid. Their economy is bismal, and most of their cashflow most likely isn't on the books. It would be similiar to Poland when it tried to and still is getting restarted.

Seems to me that drugs, crime, poverty, and corruption have ruined mexico. I don't see a way for that country to ever recover. If a revolution ever started it would just provide a mechanism for the drug lords to increase their power.

I thought this was a rather funny proposition by Micheal Savage I heard back about a year ago: for every illegal alien in this this country and that enters this country, we get one barrel oil for each illegal. Sounds like a good plan to me, the illegals send billions back to Mexico which causes us to lose money, so how about a quid pro quo? :D

A revolution in that country will never happen. Revolutions occur when the people living there, give a shit. The Mexicans don't care. Even if they did, they have no weapons available to them, other than pitchforks and hoe's. My mother has been living down there since 2000 (in Ajijic, south of Guadalajara) and I can assure you that won't happen. The Fed's ride around in Jeeps with automatic weapons constantly. I spoke with her on Friday, and her biggest fear is that Mexico will start sending the Americans home in retaliation for what we're doing to them here.
To coin a phrase, "Dictators love unarmed peasants", fits. It was said about Hitler, but it's about the same thing in Mexico...

The part that pissed me off about the entire protest deal was that these people are demanding we give them citizenship. Let me get this straight. You broke the law by coming her illegally second you demand that we give you something you have not worked for by (Learning to speak English, Learning the culture, & respecting the laws of this country) Do you know that in Mexico none citizens are not allowed to protest or demonstrate but yet they take advantage of that right in this country. A right that is extended to citizens of this country I would like to point out. I have nothing against anyone that comes to this country in search of a better life. But the immigration laws are in effect for a reason. And they should not be bent or change simple because criminals in mass number are demanding it. Also during the protest they had to be told to carry and wave American flags. I say again they Had to be told to carry American flags. Now I ask you where is their loyalty to this country if you have to be told to carry and wave an American Flag during their so call quest for the American Dream. "HARD FACTS" Most if not all of these people don't care about America they see it as a whore to be used and discarded. And the sad fact is that our elected officials are allowing it.
