Does anyone know if the IP address that i'm getting through ipconfig when i'm directly connected to my cable modem is dynamic or static? And if it is dynamic, can you get a static one from them?

You cant host anything on comcast, agasint the TOS.

I have had the same IP for over a year now with them.

With the availibility of high-speed broadband avail nowadays (even biz class), i'd probobly go DSL/Cable, before a T1.

Than why would you need a T1 or a Static IP?

I want to host other peoples servers, i'd actually need several IPs.

Actually comcast uses persistant ip's. Althought they are technically dynamic. 99% of the time you will always have the same ip. Comcast now offers 8/1 mbps service with as many static ip as you want. Check it out here
