I sat down and watched this flick and had read everones views and there
is one line from the movie that stood out in my mind.

I was leaving the military right around the time this movie starts off
so alot of it I could relate too.

Here's what got me "crude oil prices doubled" while operation desert
shield was on going.

We sent 500,000 troops to the worlds most oil rich counrty in world and
we are repayed by this?

We should've said fuck it. If they didn't want our help we should've let Saddam Insane slaughter them. Maybe then they would've been a little more grateful. It seems now that the Kuwaities (sp?) are pretty friendly with us. I flew in to Kuwait's International Airport on our rotator going to the desert before we arrived in Qatar and a lot of the local workers and what not at the airport were very friendly with us.

Yup, and Kuwait is making us pay for fuel now. Prior, it was basically free.

Kuwait still foots the bill for our military installations there, as well as Qatar. When I was in Qatar in June-October I talked to one of the Qatari military guys there and he told me all about how Qatar pays for all of the US's jet fuel, the electricity for the base, etc.
