financed $6k on it. yea actually i did, and its gonna be here tomorrow! what a smokin deal it was :p .

actually im buying it from DFW Honda in Grapevine. It is one of the saleman's bike that he bought new. I forget the guy's name that owned it, but I worked with Pat Brown. If anyone heads up there and wants a good guy to deal with ask for Pat.

Sounds like you got a pretty nice bike. 6K seems a little pricey for an 04'...BUT...if its got that low of mileage its prolly not a bad deal.
You will like it...F4i's are great bikes.
Keep it locked up...and I mean SERIOUSLY keep it locked up. They have a habit of getting stolen frequently.

yea i have already asked my roommate (landlord) about clearing a space in the garage and then putting pad locks on the garage doors on the inside. i would hate to come home or wake up one morning and it be gone!

the bike has full coverage from State Farm. hit them up btw, they gave me an awesome deal compared to the others i checked with! i dont have life insurance but should probably look into it. i do have blue cross blue shield through my work so i feel a little bit better about that end of things.

if i stay smart and ride safe hopefully there will be no need for either type of insurance. *knocks on wood* :o

Good luck biotch. When this halo comes off I'm gonna have to drive down to Arlington and take a look at it. Maybe all the regulars at Hooter's Kyle?

the weather sucks. i wanted to ride this weekend and all we have had is rain! i did go for a short ride yesterday during a brief stop in the rain but the bike was filthy when i got back. instead of riding today i washed it and it looks great now. damn weather, stop raining on my parade.

Greg, why you gotta call me out like that! oh well shit happens and here goes.

i did total the bike 9 days after buying it.

ill give a little background on it. to explain what happened. when i first got on the bike i noticed it had a little issue shifting from 1-2. sometimes it would hang it first. i didnt think much about it really the first few days and figured it was more rider error. meanwhile i had two other friends ride it that both experienced the same thing with my bike. i wasnt ready to send it back to the shop so i decided to ride it out a bit longer to see if it was really rider error or what. that was my big mistake.

the wreck happened on a saturday. the thursday before on my way home from my gf's work i was playing with the bike a little. i ran it up to about 10k in first went to 2nd(so i thought), let out on the clutch went WOT and to my amazement the damn thing wheelie'd. no big deal tho, wasnt that high so i rolled off throttle and the wheel came down. i rode home with a "OH MY GOD, i just shit myself feeling." fast forward a few days....

i was leaving a buddy's house when he said "lets see what its got!!" i even told him "naw its got plenty" or something like that. after pulling away from the house i thought why not give it a little gas, afterall i had a 1/8 mile of street in front of me with no traffic coming the other way. to my amazement it the bike repeated its same actions from the previous thursday. only this time it came straight up. no big deal right? well the wheel came down really hard and caused me to lose balance. i tried to recover, but tagged the curb. this dropped me and the bike instantly. the bike unfortunately slid through someone's front yard and wrapped itself around their tree. i slid along the street and didnt really get more than a few bumps and bruises (thanks to my gear). bike was totaled.

in short i was being a dumb ass and my actions are to blame for what happened. my ignorance is at fault here, one for not taking the bike back to be checked out and two for not staying outta the gas. it was a tough lesson to learn but i got out really lucky and working to get back on greg's sv650 this month hopefully.

let the flaming begin! thanks greg...
