View Full Version : First Impressions of the RC51

My bike was delivered last Wednesday and I've put a few miles on it since then. The first time I went for a spin it seemed really strange, never ridden a V-Twin before. The second time on it was much better, kinda got used to the sounds and feel of it. After riding it the third time I was really comfortable, and man this thing rips!

It has power everywhere and the fuel injection is right on. No need to downshift, it just goes. And man it sounds wicked! Unlike any inline four for sure. I know there are a few bikes faster in a straight line but I couldn't be happier. It loves to rev too, pulls just as hard at 10K as it does at 6. The brakes on this bike blow away any other bike I have owned, awesome binders.

So when is the next DFWStangs motorcycle GTG? :)

Kick ass man! Glad to hear you finally got it. I don't think I've got anything going Sunday afternoon if anyone wants to get together.

Man that's GREAT !

You gotta love V twins.

Wish I had gotten an RC51 instead of the Superhawk but the S'hawk was all I could afford at the time.

Congrats man....enjoy it !

Nope. Still looking for a motor and some cash. One thing i liked about my Hondas......reliability ;)

Maaan, where have you been? Yeah, tranny took a dump,and spread metal all thru the motor. There's a few posts about it. Look at the threads titled I'm so pissed at Yamaha, and Damnit!!!!!!! :D
