So when is this considered a crisis? :confused:
And the job statistics say that in any given work field, at most there are 25% illegal immigrants employed. Which kinda throws out the old "Americans won't do the jobs" bullshit.
My job has a 0% rate of illegals.
Pretty soon all of Mexico will be in the US and there won't be any more immigration problems.

I'm all for the tax on wire transfers that have been proposed in several state senates. That is a good start.

With as many illegal aliens here from Mexico, they could make Mexico a better place if they want to. They could either, vote in Mexican elections to make major changes in the government or a quarter of them (couple million) could buy a gun, then go back back and over throw the government.

Ponder this. I work at a hospital. We have 2 illegals that come in for dialysis, on avg, 2 days a week. The cost is 4k/per visit per illegal. Guess who is paying? This is becoming VERY common. You guys need to work some more, there are more coming that need dialysis:)

I was born here, I'm not an immigrant. And my great-great grandparents used every penny they had to board a ship, come to New York legally, and settled in Stephenville, TX. Not quite the same thing as hopping the river and refusing to assimilate while getting a free ride for medical and education.
2. Nope, Mexico. And there aren't that many Chinese illegals, most of the illegal Asians come from other southeast Asian countries, like Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Phillipines, etc.
3. Of course they do, that's just stupid. Do you think there are 500,000 new jobs created every year? :confused: And by what you're saying, you must agree with the concept of teaching Spanish in classrooms so that those kids can't get a good education and improve themselves. I'm sure they appreciate that, you slave driver.

Texas is slowly becoming Mexico...at least N. Texas anyway. S. and W. Texas - being close to the border have been that way for a long time anyway. I was watching the news yesterday and they said that like 65% of students in DISD were Hispanic. They were in the process of hiring 700 or so certified bilingual teachers to keep up with the Hispanic speaking children. They were forcing the English speaking teachers into other schools, maybe even other districts so they could get the bilingual teachers jobs - that they were hiring from south of the border, some as far away as S. America. Fuck that. It's nice to know two languages, but I say make them learn English.

i watched a primetime special a while back of an American that has fought for our country and is tired of the illeagal immagrants coming over. He tried to do something about it by going to the right people and trying to bring it to their attentions and was basically told get over it. In the same special, they said something like 1 billion of our American dollars was sent back to mexica last year (this would actually be 2004 we are talking about) because they come over here, work, and then send their money back to mexico to their families that are still there. That is a lot of American money that was lost out of our economy and sent to the other side of the border. I have no problem with them coming over as long as they: 1. become a US citizen, 2. learn our language, 3. be a productive member of our society. However, you talk about haveing to teach spanish in schools, what ever, what about in California where they wanted to make ebonics an actual subject that all kids had to learn? I would rather my kids learn spanish before they learn ebonics. My wife dont want them learning spanish though cause she gets jealous cause all my ex's have all been of the hispanic origin, and she is vietnamese. I think I will have my kids learn spanish just to spite. :)

WASHINGTON - Some 375 gang members have been arrested in 24 states and the District of Columbia over the past two weeks as part of a yearlong operation targeting gangs with criminal immigrant members, the Homeland Security Department said Friday.
The arrests bring to 2,388 the number of gang members apprehended through Operation Community Shield, which combines local law enforcement with federal immigration forces. Of those arrested, 922 were members of Mara Salvatrucha gangs, which have ties to Central America.
Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said that previously local law enforcement might arrest gang members and not be aware they also had immigration violations that could be used "to incapacitate violent criminals." Meanwhile, immigration officials would arrest gang members and not know they were wanted for serious criminal offenses.
"In much the way we have connected the dots against the war on terror, we are now connecting the dots against gang violence," Chertoff said.
Chertoff said none of the gang members was identified as having ties to al-Qaeda, but more than 260 of those arrested in the last two weeks have committed crimes like rape, murder and assault and brought drugs and weapons into neighborhoods. Of those arrested during the past year, 533 were charged with crimes and 1,855 with immigration violations.

Is suggling anything like snuggling or is it the other thing. ;) :cool: Sad when we have people from Germany, France and Finland working here at my work, that speak better than that is written. :D :p But yeah when we were in 29 Stumps and San Diego it was crazy how many illegals were just floating around looking for work. I swear there were 70 different people working at the Santanas right off 29 palms in the span of 3 or 4 days.

Are you being literal or being a dick? The Carlos Mencia thing was just a little humor. I don't agree with him, just thought the comment was funny. Illegals do have fucked up jobs, and rightfully so. They don't deserve good jobs for being here illegally. So as long as our bathrooms need cleaning, our trash needs picked up, our lawns need mowed, the illegals will have that job because it's cheap labor and they do a pretty damn good job. Too bad they couldn't find something like that to do in Mexico. I'm sure mowing lawns and pruning hedges to make a living enough to live in South Phoenix or East L.A. is so much better than doing it in Mexico.

The illegals are having babies that do go into our school systems and learn English. They then do compete for higher paying jobs.
Most of the jobs the illegals are doing are jobs that the average joe doesn't want because he watches Cribs and think he deserves a 60 inch plasma.
