So whats this place like? MX track? Trails? I've never been over there and trying to find out some info on it. I can't find anything about it on the internet. Do they have a website? Where is it located?
Just trails, no track. Its only good because its free. Just take 360 north (from Arlington) and look for the trails right off the freeway right by the railroad track bridge. If you hit 183 thats too far.

There's a new one in Corsicana right next door to a mud drags track. :D It might be too far for you though.

There's a track with jumps and stuff in Forrest Hill by Alpine Gun Range. I don't remember the name though. Next time I go... I'll get the name. Looks like lots of fun though.

Village is a really nice track. I would say it's probably one of if not the best track in the DFW area. It's fun to ride and always nicely groomed.

Is this track more of a natural motocross track? Like not filled with huge azz jumps everywhere like you would see in super cross? I want to ride on a fast wide open track.

Oh yes I have always wanted to ride a track more like to this one instead of the ones with all man maid jumps and right after the other.

It's mostly jumps and whoops, not really that open.

It was a fun track. I only raced one motocross race ever, and it was at village creek. 250 beginner:D
Mosier Valley was a bad ass track also, IMO. RIP

so you want to trail ride rather than actually use some skills....you might as well get used to the bumps man

Try Shady Grove Mx. Its got some wide open spots, its not gromed at all though. Its off of Loop 12 and if you go there that time of day you will have the whole place to yourself.

I said a wide open motocross track. I could care less about trails. I'm not a newbie rider I can jump some.

MX and jumping is not the only riding that requires skills. Cross country (trail riding) is extremely challenging if you ride aggressively and do all the technical tough sections.

Yeah, I've already tried that place. Definitely not groomed! When I went there it had rained the week before. Muddy all over the place! You could only ride about 1/10 of the track, and that wasn't very good. Definitely not worth the 10 bucks he charged me.

Village Creek is the best track in Texas and the day track has sections that are very fast if you have the skills as for the jumps thats up to you just jump as far as you want. They do have a BIG double thats fun as hell.
badlandsmx.com
This track is more like a arenacross but not as big and all the jumps are step ons and step offs so its one of the safest track in the area.
Tyler has a fast wide open track that is more on the pro side but is very fun.

David Knight doesnt practice riding trails, its a little different when you are coming over 4-5 ft boulders and ruts that half your tire could fit into. I dont ever run into the same obstacles that I see them cover. He is a bad dude, and we are talkin bout arlington, not Austria! :)

Have you been to Muenster? You should come out Saturday and bring your new bike. There's lots of challenging shit out there, you'll have a blast...especially on a CRF450R!!
