USA just lost to Slovakia 2-1.

Team USA is now 1-1-1. Piss poor.

Anyone else think Team USA is just old and slow?

Not old and slow, but it did look like we had some puck hogs lacking some team play. But, then again it seemed like our passing wasn't all that great either.

Go Switzerland!!

Seemed like Team USA just could not capitalize on scoring chances, passes a little off here and there, and several shots just missed the goal. DiPietro looked alright from the parts of the game I saw

Slovakia has some elite players, Gaborik, Hossa & Demitra is a sick line

I was pretty sure we would lose to Slovakia, just look at their roster. The Latvia draw is hard to digest, but then again, those guys have been playing together for awhile now, the US team was just thrown together and had 1 practice together when they faced Latvia.

I think the USA screwed up their goalie selections. Hey look at my Canadians! We are in the dumper as well. Amazing the team salary cap in the NHL is 39 million and our team is over 100 mill. Thats a lot of bread to be .500 at this point. Shit, we haven't scored in 2 games. I wonder what kind of odds Janet Gretzky could have got on that stat. Lol.

The problem actually hasnt been the goaltending for the US, instead a lack of offense. They picked who at the time the rosters had to be turned in who was healthy, what it comes down to is the lack of US born goaltenders developing and showing a bit too much loyalty to the older guys such as Hatcher, Chelios ect.

DiPietro has been good, I think Chelios has played well too. We need to score!!!!!!

Great tournament so far! Much better and more entertaining hockey than NHL, like it has been ever since NHL players have participated. FIN - RUS today was an awesome game, especially the score. :)
