John, count me in as instructor for the 18th if available. If not, I will do what I can to help out. Got to get more people addicted to the crack pipe!!!
Those of you that are interested, feel free to ask questions regarding street car prep in this thread or by PM. I know a lot of you are afraid of tearing up your cars but it REALLY isn't bad at all for wear on the car. Tires maybe but MSR is actually pretty easy on tires compared to other venues.
Only thing you guys need to be afraid of is having too good of a time!!

I have thought about runing BB. The ring leader of the Pantera group is a good friend. My car has just completed a two year resto and a 351w efi swap.
Sad to say but it will be for sale soon. I need a dedicated track car and a Pantera is not it. I travel a lot and am at the track to much. It just sits.
I hate cars that sit and I built a driver. Someone will use it more than me.
No it will not be for sale on here. LOL Internet ballers need not apply!

who is the leader of that group?? i bet i know him because i spent a lot of time talking to most of them last april. Michael frasier from san antonio is a real cool guy... but he runs in our class and kicks our ass each time. last october we were 1.6 seconds off and he was .311 off.
hell, run it once in BB with a forsale sign on it. i'll bet you a free beer that you will sell it there.

I am that unlucky guy that would run with a for sale sign a tube it and only have a tail light and forsale sign left.
I would love to run it and I might. I am real busy witha corp days job and three side businesses. Funny thing is no onw gives me $$ I have to work for it imagine that???

yeah, that Maddog has one beautiful pantera. he got in a little trouble a couple years ago at BB trying to mess with a little 63 stingray on the streets of ft stockton... :D had to go before the judge and talk his ass out of being DQ'd from the event. :D be sure and ask him about it... he'll wonder how you found out. ;)
as for running it, you can run it in a lower class. frasier runs his in the 100 MPH class and it does just fine.
the road surface on 285 and 385 is really good and coarse, so traction is at a premium. the guys that went off the road in october, were running 140+ and hit dirt on the road that was thrown up from the unlimited car that apexed the turn to sharply and threw dirty everywhere. after the GT40 and corvette went off the road, they shut it down and swept the surface.
so all in all, it's really safe.
just toss it around and think it over. you won't regret it.

When I was at his house in HB a month ago he was having a few things updated and he was not sure he was going to make it.
You know his Pantera burned to the ground at the end of the Silver State in 97 or 98 can not remember which year.
You should ask about that story!!
