Just saw on the news he benched 225# 43 times. Next closest was 35 reps.

didn't he like have the stongest max on the bench at like 600-700? I heard that somewhere but was never clear on it?

I think he benches a tad over 700 lbs. I'd like to know who the strongest is as in powerlifting. Total combined bench, squat, deadlift. Then of course, strongest pound for pound would be a good showdown too.

I've seen him do 700 on a MNF game, but I heard it use to be like 800. Either way thats alot.

For someone who is as strong as he is sure did not use it to his advantage last season. I can't count the times I saw him get pushed back like a rag doll...

Are you sure it was only 225 lbs? I saw some of the contest on t.v. and it looked like there was a 45, 35, and 25 lb plate on each side of the bar. If i'm correct that would be 255 lbs. Either way, Allen dominated.

couple guys have squatted 1200+, Mike Miller is one of them. Gene Rychlak has benched 1003. Benedikt Magnusson deadlifted 970 pretty recently. And as far as that 700 bench, I can find the info if someone would like but it has been admitted that his spotters helped him with that the whole way.

Well, I guess it was only 225. I know for sure there were three different plates on each side of the bar but maybe it was only a 45, 35, 10. Seems like for 225 they would just put two 45 plates on each side.

Either way, damn impressive for big Larry Allen.

Larry Allen cheated. The bar only had to move about a foot before touching his big boobs. lol

ya, i was always pissed in highschool when the fat kids benched a shitload only bc they had to move the bar three or four inches. imo the coaches never said anything bc that was most likely the only accomplishment physically they would have in life.
