I think SLOW77 has one.. They are fast as shit - I'd bet that most of the ones you guys run into on the street don't have a driver mod.

I think his car runs somewhere in the 8.20's if I remember correctly.

John isn't exactly an average driver:) I know the older car had a drag launch mode if you knew how to use it and would drop probably 1/2 a second off the ET.

The M3s are nice cars but for the money I'd buy the CTS-V. More power, cheaper, nicer interior and most of the parts are straight out of a C6 Vette.

I beat one pretty bad in one of NTN's 350z turbo's:D . It only had 310 hp ;) .

I've raced 4 of them. I had the bottle on for 3 of the races and i won all of those. The race without the bottle i lost from a 40-120 race he had 1 1/2 cars on me.

And you will get drug like a bitch on harry hines by a caddy everytime you let your nut's hang low enough to race one!!! The best I've seen the new one's run is a 12.9 struggling....they are heavier than the old ones which easily ran 12.7's or better!!!

Smart man!!! and BTW it is a whole lot cheaper and easier to push the LS6 in the CTS-V to make 600 all basic head and cam set up's that fit, LS1.LS2 AND LS6 Bolt right up!!! the IRS will take a shit on you though!!! same disease as an 03-04 cobra you might have to upgrade to a straight axel!!! ;)

Stay with the IRS and just get the level 5 half shafts. They are holding up on the cobra's real well.

I do have one; but it didn't go 8.20, I wish :D Mine did go 8.50's and it is all stock; not LS1 stock, but stock down to the paper filter. I think it will go an 8.40 but I need to go a couple more times to the track. I have raced LS1's with a lid and catback and pretty much whoever gets the jump stays ahead. I raced one 99-04 GT and that wasn't a good race, the GT couldn't shift very good. I have raced my friends 01 Vette and I can hold him off from 30-100 and then he can slowly creep by, but he is an excellent driver and speed shifting when we went at it.

The cars are great they just need another 100hp and they would be perfect IMO. Hopefully the new M3 will be all that.

Stay with the IRS and just get the level 5 half shafts. They are holding up on the cobra's real well.
Hell we tried that but Parker's V which made over 650hp cracked the case in half after that.....unfortunately it's the same one that the V6 uses!!!! I think he is going to the 9" IRS set up with the lvl 5 shaft 's now.... a place in Houston is custom fabricating them!!! He does not want to sacrifice handling so he won't go to a straight axle just yet!!
