What I meant is that just a few months ago 6.70-80's was the norm and Reid was the next fastest guy. Now it looks like everyone has leaped past that and into the .30 and under range. Make me wish I would have went with a bigger turbo then I did :mad: Anyways I am saving for the last piece of the puzzle and it won't be long. I am just hoping we don' have to drive 2k miles to get the damn car tuned :mad:

And let me remind you I never ran any more then 14psi and the car weighed 3600lbs :eek: Hell lets see, I can use Gregs mathamatics which means 50rwhp = .3 and damn. Lets see. I dyno tuned the car...i know what it makes and weighs. It also has my own personal 5115 on it , and I know what it's pilled at and that kit will not put any motre the 150 to the ground the way it is in stock form. Call foul all you want, but that car is the real deal. I know it's hard to believe, but you best believe it.

You know what I found? The formula ended up stating the car is 150lbs heavier then it actuallt however it 60's to the tune of 1.30...Therefore if it pulled a 1.4 then it would be dead on. Now, if your performing so much better then top racers in FFW, why are you wasting your time in Garland? Once again the formula is pretty accurate yet you fall no where in that category :confused:

Are you that big of an idiot? Did you even happen to plug the #'s into the formula? Its because you can get withing 150lbs with that car and Gregs is still 700lbs off. Hell DMC racers is off, but only by 300lbs. which can be made up with a very efficient suspension which I do not refute Greg has.

Well I'm telling you like it is. I've out run the old slide calculator plenty to know it can be outrun. That car is not gregs car. Ol gray doesn't weigh 3k even with driver. He doesn't make anything close to 630 rwhp. It doesn't even make 500 on the spray. It does make about 575 foot pounds on the spray. Call foul all you want. Gregs car gets it done. Sorry to hurt your feelings, but your not the first. :(

Attached are a few calculators that disprove your hp estimates. 6.30 = 9.83 in the 1/4 but I highly doubt your pos will pull as hard as it does in the 1/4 in the 1/8. Therefore you can use 9.90 as a good base. Either way you are spraying way more then you say or your car is about 2700 lbs or less. You can type in all the numbers you want and nowhere do you get close to the numbers you running with the weight you claim to have. I guess every calculator in the world is wrong huh? And you are gods gift to drag racing :rolleyes: Your numbers are as off as you are. If I apply your math, it suggests I will go 5.40's. Hell as much as I'd like to say its true its not.

9.90 @ 445 hp = 2185 lbs hmmm...
9.83 @ 445 hp = 2139 lbs

I am sure there is some % of error but your numbers don't add up.

400 x .18 drivetrain loss (you have an auto right?)

400-72 = exactly 328rwhp.

400 and 11.0 = 2700lbs. Yours is only 200lbs off

and depending on how loose your converter is you may be loosing more. Autos rob power but make it up on the track.

The 5115 kit uses 2 in line 73 orifice power shot solenoids that will not flow more that 175hp worth of NOS (approx. 150hp to the ground) unless they are flowed individually without the NOS Vacuum bypass solenoid in between them......which I have personally set up before....Then they are both able to flow 175hp a piece, however last time I looked under Greg's hood I seem to remember the kit set up with the solenoids in line= 150hp or less to the ground.... Your Times table will work 85% of the time but I myself have seen car's which used bigger converters and different tranny and rear gear setups and where able to run much faster than shown on the chart.... some cars work good and manage to beat all odds and this has happened quite a few times before....we usually call them freaks.... I myself owned one and had a hard time getting people to believe me too....... I'm sure Howard and many others on the board remember CASPER!!! Remember just because you can't do it.....it does not necessarily mean it can't be done!! ;)
And BTW dry kits are know to make a shit load more torque than HP and that would also explain why your calculations won't work in this case.... I bet his car might have more problems running as good in the 1/4. Greg wanted to know what power I was making to go 6.30s and it was in the upper 500's at 3600lbs. We made nearly 700rwhp on the dyno but the car never made 20 psi at the track. Under full load the actuators would not hold near 20psi. The most I ever saw was 14psi at the gauge. I was running 6.30s over a year ago while he was running 7s. I was maxed out with the incon kit so I sold it and went with a single turbo. If he wants to run once my car is tuned we can do the damn deal. But 6.30s are a thing of the past. He better bring alot more then that.

It's funny how some build a car with a calculator with the intentions of going 5.90 and end up with a 6.20 car and then someone uses their head and builds a car meant to go 6.50's and ends up with a 6.10 car. Calculators are a good base line but you can't live by them. FFW has tried that with Bill Glidden for years and he consistently wins with less HP. People always say he's light as hell, but he can't get too light or he couldn't get down the track. The fact of the matter is that some people have a 12" dick and couldn't satisfy their own hand and some other person has a 6" dick and is one of the top porn stars. If you can't make the car work then why keep trying to build HP? Fuck a calculator....................get on the Drag strip or get on the train.
