I know a lil something about Chuck. I will post up about it after the fight and see if it makes a difference.
He denied the rumors of his leg injury in an interview last week. So i don't know what's up with his leg

Nobody. We are all just pretending that we do. This whole thread is just a big charade we put on to make everyone think UFC is popular and entertaining. All these UFC gtg's you see are fake as well. If you try to show up at any of them, you'll show up at an empty house. The whole thing is a smoke and mirrors show we put on every UFC.

When are people going to realize there is NOTHING LUCKY about knocking someone out when your bread and butter is striking? Sorry the fight was too boring. Maybe if Randy could take Chuck's power or actually thought he could take the fight to the ground and keep it there it would have been a different fight.

You can look at it that way, but Randy slipped, threw a wild punch and left himself open and gave Chucky the golden opportunity. Game over.

Please stop being "wowed" by the ballsacks of notorious fighters. The matches before the main event had far better action/technique and content.

Looks pretty clean to me. Where is the slip? The only thing that looks wild is the follow thru on the punch from Couture AFTER he get's KTFO.

None of us are "experts" or even consider ourselves experts as you call it. We do know better then to call that fight dull of boring. Its funny, your the kind of person that gets pissed when fighters feel one and other out and look for the opportunity to do what it is they do but at the same time you get pissed at a 30 sec KO. 9 out of 10 times that is how that fight is going to go down. The one time Chuck planted his feet Randy got in on him and put him on his back. If you did not like the way the fight turned out thats one thing but to call that fight boring is just stupid.
You always tell people to validate a point, why don't you try it for once. What should Randy have done to win that fight? And don't say not slip, thats not the part of the fight I'm talking about.

Well it looked like he was going for a left hook and his pivot leg slipped, causing him to be off timing a little. He still landed the punch just with no power and that left him wide open for a right hand from Chuck. Good fight, not the ending that I wanted but oh well.. Randy did alot for this sport and it sux to see him go out like that. Maybe they will bring him back for a legends fight later on down the road.. Randy vs Ken Shamrock.. :p

This was an excellent fight AGAIN! I'm a Liddell fan so it was a good fight for me and I won some $$$ :D The first fight, Randy did what he does best, ground and pound! The second and third fight Chuck did what he does best, STRIKE! It's unfortunate that Randy is calling it quits but sometimes you have to know when to hang it up, he did a lot for the sport and was unbeatable for a very long time, the man also has a lot of CLASS! He gave props to Chuck after the second fight and he went out like a true champion the third time with his head up high with no regrets, CLASS the man has plenty of CLASS! ...'H'

Out of the three fights which one do you think was the best? Specifically which fight do you think both Randy and Chucky challenged each other the most? And please don't say all of them.

For once? Are you that much of a fan of mine you've read everything I've posted? LMAO so you want me to answer only under your conditions? What part of the fight are you talking about then? Would help if you were a bit more specific. Two things stand out... Of course he shouldn't of slipped nor should he of gotten his nose broken trying to take Chucky to the mat and all that bobbing and weaving wasn't all that effective now was it...
Thanks for posting that. I hadn't seen that in the fight but really don't think it had much to do w/him getting KO'ed.
Where do you buy your crack? First off after the fight they did nothing but show the replay and talk about the slip over and over again. Secondly if Randy didn't help Chuck plant his fist in Randy's face by slipping and throwing a wild punch then what was that key factor of Chuck being able to knock Randy off his feet and finishing him?

I think this last one was best. Chuck is just to much for Randy, I thought otherwise but I was wrong. Chuck is at the top of his game right now and I dont know who could stop him. And no I dont think it was the fight of the night. Diaz - Riggs would get my vote. Diaz and Riggs was a grat fight for many reasons. Some great ground work is one of them. Nick had a few subs he was working and Joe did some good G&P what both do best. The stand up was sick, you had a fighter(riggs) come back from what looked like a ko and Nick showed a chin of rock.

I was at a party and had a hard time actually hearing anything after the fight was over. You have a hard time giving anybody credit don't you? If you want to believe that Randy's slip was his downfall in this fight that is fine. It would not have made a difference. This fight was not much different than the last one. Randy stalked Chuck just like the last fight and paid dearly. Randy showed how much he has slowed and there is no way he was going to win this fight standing. He missed and got KTFO by a superior striker.

And that's what I call a good fight. One that displays various take down, holds, attempted holds and striking techniques. Where both fighters take risks and actually challenge each other. The main event had none of that. It was damn near a boxing match and for me was a boring fight.

If I recall correctly during the Diaz/Riggs fight there were at least few triangle attempts as well as an ankle lock that seemed to get both fighters legs tangled in some kinda mess. It's always enjoyable watching a fighter's technique to successfully break a submission move.
Can't remember what fight it was last year but one fighter (Hughes?) was right in the midst of being choked out, was able to escape, picked up the fighter, carried him to the other side of the ring and slammed him. Can't recall if he won or not...
