I got a gym membership from my mom for christmas, and I'm already down 11 pounds. I was 255 in June, and I decided to change my diet then, and gradually cut the bad stuff out of my diet, getting me to about 225 by christmas. I lost a few more over the holidays, and started working out Jan 7. I'm now down to right at 210 with my gym clothes on. My goal is to get down to about 175, then maybe I'll think about bulking up. So far, I do something every day, but every other day at least I'll work for 30 minutes on the eliptical machine (about 450 calories), then I'll row on the middle difficulty setting for about a mile (less than ten minutes), then I sit in a sauna for about 20 minutes. I don't feel exhausted after about an hour's rest after a workout, and I don't ever feel sore. I'm going to start adding resistance and time to the eliptical machine and the rower until I reach my limit, but if anybody has any advice, I'm open. Sorry for the paragraph, but I'm pumped!
