For college aged/Singlespeople to meet/study at?

I'm looking into getting involved in church again and just curious to what places in DFW have services for that age group etc. Thanks in advance.

Elvis-I've actually heard good things about that church as well. Are you going to be out at the Carrolton gtg tonight? If you are, I have a few questions etc. Thanks.

Eric  , that's not the reason I'm wanting to get back into church.

What other reason would there be to go to a brainwashing facility weekly other than the chicks?

it's actually a pretty good place to "network". A lot of my clients from my old job were "church" contacts. ;)

you'd be surprised how much business church members will do with each other. sometimes you just gotta dance the dance.

of course, my intention is purely for worship :)

I answered, "For weekly brainwashing?" with a question mark and  because I wasn't sure why he didn't think of that.of course, my intention is purely for worship :)"Lying in bed on Sunday morning screaming, 'Oh God!' is not worshipping." <---can't remember where I saw that, but I did.

Really wheather you choose to go to church or not you are brain washed...due to the fact...you listen to radio, read books(non-fictional), news paper, watch Tv ..or any other type of media.... and we base what we believe in what they tell us ..unless you experience somthing first hand you really do not even know if it really happened ..... example: The earth is round.. Really no one here has been in space to see it first hand but we belive what others have done ..so we are brain washed in to thinking the earth is really round(this is just a example).... I am sure even someone as yourself has faith in somthing ....

edit: earth was just a example

There's a slight difference in accepting provable and/or observable facts, and being told what to believe.

We don't just believe the Earth is round because we're told it's so. It's both provable, and observable (both from space, and on the surface). Brainwashing would be believing the Earth isn't round, because you've been told so. Oh wait...

I could photoshop a pic of a million things to look round though ...see you are just being told that things are that way cause of a picture and you have faith in that

Um... no.

You can... you know... look at the horizon, and see that it's curved, with your own eyes. Not some picture. Observable fact. Really. You should maybe try that sometime.

No idea how you came to this corrolation based on what you quoted. Completely unrelated.

No idea how you came to this corrolation based on what you quoted. Completely unrelated.I misread "provable" as "probable." :o The idea that life started out of nothing and evolved into what it is now just by pure chance is no less far-fetched (and no more provable or observable) than the idea that some powerful being had a hand in it.

At the risk of being cliche, " i would rather live my life as if there is a god, and find out there isnt, than to live my life like there isnt a god and find out there is.

nassty nate, sorry i didnt make it last night. if you would like feel free to call me or i will be at bennigans in g-vine drinking beer this afternoon, and at the bellamy bros. tomorrow in ft worth. 817-946-1352 paul.

Ahh, gotcha. Was wondering what you were getting at :)

That statement in itself isn't cliche. Where the cliche comes in, is when it's taken out of context. There's a difference between believing in God, and subscribing to a religion. This quote is most commonly associated with Christianity, even though belief in God is not enough according to Christianity... and that is where it becomes cliche.

I think you are missing the point completely ...the fact of the matter is ...In this world you belive certain things without having any facts or real proof...

1: No kids. [Edit] And if I did have kids, I would raise them to not be caught up in the Christian propoganda, and to understand where these ideas and stories came from, and that we are carrying on these old traditions.

2: Did you somehow miss the recent threads where I've pointed out how Santa and the Easter Bunny are pagan symbols for their respective holidays, that the early Church incorporated in order to entice pagans to convert to Christianity?

3: I again, assure you, I don't take anything at face value. There is nothing I take on "blind faith".

Didn't Jesus get rather upset about business being done in the church?

But yes, in the little town I grew up in, all the used car salemen were in church every sunday. Despite the fact that they were alcoholics, sold junk cars, cheated on thier taxes, and would screw your wife or daughter if given half a chance.
