My computer is in my room since i moved and it hasnt been connected to the internet since I have moved...anyways.
I came home today with the fan running REALLY hard and when i moved my mouse it was the blue screen of death with all kinds of error info. It basically said there was an error in a driver because a driver was in loop and couldnt work and it was doing a memory dump. I restarted it several times and the monitor would go to the windows screen and after that it would flicker black like it was trying to come on, but it eventually went to where the yellow light on my monitor went to yellow and was turned off like when the screen saver kicks in. I then restarted it in safe mode and this is what I got.
"Driver for Display device was unable to complete a drawing operation."
On the error report to send this is what it said:
Display Driver is NVidia GEForce FX5200.
SzAppname: Driver.Display
SzModName: nv4_disp.dll
and a bunch of other serial type numbers.
PLEASE help if anyone can. Thank you in advance.

sounds like your video card flipped out, it may have taken a dump. that might be the fan you were hearing.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. But how do I go about replacing it? Just open it up and install the new one? Is it that simple?
Power it down and wait a few minutes, then reboot. IF still getting error yeah you may need new card. Before spending money on new card though, i'd try uninstalling/reinstalling the video drivers.

Yeah Ive restarted it about 6 times now, and it only shows display in Safe Mode. I will try reinstalling the video drivers in safe mode though. Thanks for the help guys.
Yeah if that doesnt work it sounds like you can handle replacing the card ok. Its as easy as taking the old one out and installing the new on in its place. Just delete old drivers and install new ones and your set. Good luck.

before you replace the video card, try removing the driver and letting Windows reinstall the driver.
Boot into Safe Mode
Go into Device manager and delete or uninstall the card.
Once its gone, reboot your computer and let Windows reinstall the driver. If it wants to use the old driver, say no and let it reinstall it clean.

Basically you have 7 days to live. What you need to do is invite a friend over. Trick them into the room and have them see the blue screen of death, once they see it, they have 7 days to live unless they can trick another into seeing the blue screen of death. Goodluck.
P.S. wasn't it creepy how the phone rang right after you saw the blue screen of death, but when you answered, there was no one on the other end? Weird.

Solution:
Update to the latest graphics driver. A fix that resolves many of these errors is available in the PV 11.4.1 (or later) graphics drivers.

If you continue to see this issue with the latest graphics driver, use the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
[list=1]
Determine whether the error always occurs when the system is performing a certain operation, such as running a particular application or game, going into stand by, or if the error occurs randomly.
Determine what system changes have been made since the system was working properly, such as updating drivers, adding hardware, or installing software.
Update your system to the latest BIOS from the system or motherboard manufacturer.

Updating drivers and CTRL + ALT + DEL are nifty tools, but nothing is better than getting a Mustang. :D

well, wait a minute......
what drivers did you use? The ones that came with the card?
I would trying dloading the NEW drivers to CD or some such from a different PC, then going to your pc, going thru safe mode, and in stalling said drivers.

My guess is that there was a system update or some such that has rendered the old drivers incompatible....but who knows. Try the new drivers, and see if that works out.

I think your Get_A_Mustang module might be busted.
