Explain more about "power" sets. Alot of exercises go by different names...

A "Superset" is typically used w/ two different excercises in one set to work separate primary muscle groups. For instance, 1set of bench press immediately followed by 1set of lat pulls and then your 30-60 sec. of rest. This is great it you're pinched for time or want to workout diff. muscle groups more than once a week.

I've seen it done with 3 different exercises too... same thing - no rest between the three, then 1 minute rest then start the three over again.

When i do a spuerset i like to do the same muscle group. Like doing curls with a flat bar, then going straight to a cable and doing curls with a tricep rope. And i usually go heavy with the first set, doing maybe just 8 reps, then on the cables go a little lighter and try to squeeze out 12-15 reps.

But your friend getting tired on supersets has little to do with him working out more than you. You guys probably have a completely different lifting style. Thatd be like a long distance runner talking shit to a sprinter about his mile time.
