Help with Motorola Phone tools..

I'm having problems with the ringers/mp3 files i transfer to my girlfriends pink v3. I can play them, but they sound like crap. Very distorted/cut up. What can i do to fix this problem? I already cut down the mp3 songs to about 30-45 secs using mp3 trim! Any1 have some suggestions?

All the ones I have copied to my v551 have sounded good. I took the original song, used Nero's Wave Editor and cut the portion of the song I wanted. Saved it as an MP3 at 56k and mono.

Oh, I also copy the MP3 to my Palm Tungsten T5, then bluetooth the song to my phone.
