Just a snipit of the article...
Tobacco brand Camel has today (Tuesday) released a statement which appears to signal the end of Max Biaggi's MotoGP career, since it officially confirms that they have been unable to find a ride for him in the 2006 world championship.
In the statement, Camel criticises Honda for an "unacceptable" veto which prevented Biaggi riding for the Honda Pons team next year and states that "various, decisive and inexplicable" obstacles - combined with a lack of "sporting spirit" - then prevented a deal being struck to run Biaggi with any other manufacturer (a third factory Kawasaki was thought most likely).
As a result, Camel has "decided to break off relationships in MotoGP with Honda and with the Pons team", ruling out a possible return to back the now one man 2006 Pons line-up of Carlos Checa (Casey Stoner having moved to the new LCR Honda team)
The statement falls short of announcing a clear withdraw from MotoGP, saying only that "in order to ensure continuity of the strategy for the Camel brand, JT International is thus considering a series of alternatives" - which may mean switching backing to a rival manufacturer, such as Suzuki.
34-year-old Biaggi, a four-times 250cc World Champion, entered the premier class in 1998 and has since won 13 races and stood on the podium 58 times.
The Roman finished championship runner-up in 1998 (Honda), 2001 (Yamaha) and 2002 (Yamaha), but was just fifth in the 2005 standings with Repsol Honda and failed to win a race for the first time in his premier-class career.
