SEC v. Big XII

I still think that the SEC has much stronger teams than the Big XII (with the exception of t.u.).

Bama's #1 Overall Defense I think is going to be Key to this game. I've become over the past years a believer that Defense wins games, and Bama's Got It.
Tech has the #2 Passing Offense, and Alabama has the #3 Passing Defense.

If Bama is able to (and they can) shut down Tech's passing . . . game over.

with alabamas total offence being so low i think if tech minimizes turnovers on offence and focus on pounding the crap outa bama when they have the ball. then we're golden. id just like to see dwane slay get a solid hit on the bamas qb to take him outa the game. that'll set a good tone i think! but it will be TTU in the over

Mike Leach knows this and has prepaired for it. i believe we will see a different, more versitile tech offence, showing more of an all around strength (if it works). they tended to mix it up more towards the end of the season and with the success of taurean henderson at RB the possibilities are endless. i believe bama will target henderson and Hicks, leaving Filani and Amendola open like every other team this year. They will try to put pressure on Hodges to get sacks but hes not scared of running. On offence, bama will run plays wide out and stay away from the middle section where tech's d is strengthened by Slay and Saldi. I can see tech mixing up d with a little more pressure on the qb than usual which may or may not work in their favor.

I'm taking TT in this one as well. 'Bama got exposed late and is a sham. Their 'D' is good but their Offense is nothing without Prothro.

Try as they might to shut down the Tech offense they will not be successful. I do not give much credit to their pass defense ranking because the average pass offense they played against all year is ranked #73. So against a bunch of non passing team it wouldn’t be hard to shut their pass offense down.

I would say that Texas' pass D is much better then Bama's and Tech was still able to move the ball against Texas even though the score does not reflect that.

It will be a good game because Bama will try to run the ball a lot and will probably be pretty successful. But with Bama running and Tech passing there is no way bama would win a "Track meet" game. If Tech can minimize turnovers we will take home the win! :D

damn i have to admit im a big big tech fan, but bama has some great coverage on quarter backs through out the year. im watching it right now and the only thing that gets passes out is the cody hodge doesnt use the lases to throw the ball and that helps on getting it gone faster.

Man!!! What a game! I gotta hand it to Bama. They played an outstanding game. At the time I thought that some of our offensive players switched jerseys. Our timing looked like it was off all day but our D made some pretty good stands.

I am just glad that is was a close game. It would have been better if we had won but someone had to lose and unfortunately our offense didn’t decide to get into the game until there were 5 minutes left.

That last kick was a heart breaker. I was right by that goal post and when I saw the ball start flopping in the air like it did everyone on the Tech side when NUTS! Then....when the ref signaled the kick good :( ....that was the look of thousands of Prozac pills getting popped all at the same time.

Next year is only a few months away...

Damn what an UGLY kick. I did'nt think it was going to be anywhere close when I first saw it. TT played a damn good game today, especially defensively. Bama had possession almost 40 minutes and only scored 13 points, thats sad, very sad. The past few games Bama has played have been pretty ugly, and I thought this one might turn out like the LSU and Auburn game. Luckily Bama pulled through with the W, but it wasn't pretty.
