Well me and a few boyz were on our way through Blueridge to go towards Ida . It started gettting real windy , when we hit a real sharp corner . I hit it tight and kept going until i noticed i was missing a rider. We then head back to see were he was and sure enough he was laying on the side of the ditch. The bike was about 20 feet away from him. The only good thing was there was only grass were he slide off, no rocks or gravel. I told the guys before we headed out they needed jackets but said it was too hot. The guy in the pick , his parents gave him a check to buy one but did not in time as you can see. His name is Riley. He is pretty new to riding and told him to be real careful , but the wind got the best of him. He has a broken wrist ,road rash and legs are real soar. I hope i never have to see this again. He told me he is selling the bike . The bike is not badly damaged at all. The tall grass saved alot of damage. Here are the pics he had me take before we went to the hospital. Be careful guys and always were gear. :( " P.S These pics were takin because he wanted them as a little reminder" Sorry if it seems cruel i took them.

Road rash SUCKS! I've wrecked out ALOT worse than he did an didn't break anything. I got very lucky! I do have a nice scar on my right leg just below my knee. Anyone that knows me can vouche for that.

He better be thanking god he had those gloves on. his wrist most likely went because he tried to brace for impact.... try that without gloves and the broken wrist would be the least of his problems....

No riders safety course I take it?

Ouch... Hope he feels better soon.

A jacket would've surely helped the road rash on hims arms.. <- duh huh? :o

PS - were you riding down coit yesterday @ 5:30 or so?

<- Frisco also..

Im sure it was both , i had talked to him before we went out there. I told him how to position his body when coming into turns , i just think this one got the best of him. Plus the wind just topped it off.

I won't ride without a jacket, and this post makes me want to invest in some protective gloves. Hard lesson to learn.

I'm sorry your friend had a very bad expericance ..I'd expect that trend to continue
if those OF you that ride those damm things not respect them ..
Can't tell you how many times I've seen them fly by me well over 100 miles a hour in heavy traffic, day, night .. riding wheelies down the freeway -U R ALL NUTS
I wish this would signal some of you to police the others and SLOW DOWN
and live to have fun another day .. Please , the life you save just might be MINE !
Respect yourself and others enough to ride normal unless you are somewhere
designed to perform your tricks -- Or you will lose lots of friends ,
Hope he recovers fully -- Be careful and good luck

Am I the only one who thinks its' fucked up you were taking pics of him while he was being worked on by the EMTs?

Yes youir the only one..........lol. It would be bad if he was dead, then I would agree with you but he's just beat up and probably trying to maintain some type of sense of humor to keep him going.........I do the same thing when Im hurt. Hell when I wrecked in 2ft of grass over off from 157 the first thing my buddy said was "stand up Rich, we can't find ya"! :D Bastards.........lol

My front end tucked going ~60mph...I slid across the road for about 20 yards, off a 5 foot degradation, and into a farm. I was wearing a kangaroo suit and was not hurt at all. My bike did not fair so well, however.
