They finally got some pitching to sign here without the fear of pitching in a higher E.R.A ball park...

Pretty good lineup this Spring:

1. Milwood
2. Eaton
3. Padilla
4. Lowe
5. Pick from a group

This one sounds better but may be a longshot:

1. Clemens
2. Milwood
3. Eaton
4. Padilla
5. Lowe

GODDAMNIT!! We wouldn't sign a young "injury prone" pitching stud to a 5-year contract (AJ Burnett) but we will sign an old one year wonder with arm and injury problems to a 5-year contract? FUCK THE RANGERS. The next Stars game I go to, I'm looking for Tom Hicks..I wanna punch him in the goddamned mouth.

Milwood will have to pitch at the Ballpark, so expect the worst from him.

The Ballpark is a crappy park to pitch in. I wouldn't get all whipped out of shape for the starting lineup.

Pitching at the Park is a state of mind. If you think bad things, you will suck. I think if you have the right mindset, you make it through. Like Chris Young...he was more a fly ball pitcher, but he did ok here. Sucks he was traded away though.

He's 31 and he's got some pretty good stats!

I liked Chris Young but to me he was to finesse. I believe that Milwood will do well here especially if he's healthy enough gets the run support. The issue I have will be the mindset of Adam Eaton coming from a pitcher friendly park in San Diego.

What do you all think of Jared Washburn?

i think eaton is gonna do good. hes a ground ball pitcher so he should be fine

The ballpark excuse might work when looking at ERA or HR allowed and such, but not for wins, because the pitcher on the opposing team has to pitch here too.

1. Clemens

The Astros didn't offer him arbitration, so no one "owns" him.

Hows that? The angels look like they did last year which is good so there is the west. Chicago looks like they will win the central again and the Yankees and the Red Soxs will be fighting for the East. Both of those teams will have a better record then the rangers. So I dont see how they will make the playoffs.

U gotta count the bluejays in on the east in which i think they will all hurt each other. the rangers will atleast finish 2nd in the west and i think will nodge the red sox to get into the playoff picture

If the Rangers were to get the Rocket, you're telling me they would not make the playoffs... I would say the Rangers would have between 90-95 wins. That is enough to make the playoffs as a wild card...

I hate Tom Hicks so much. Did you hear after this aquisition, he said "We're not going to spend anymore money this year." WTF? This guy is the biggest tightwad.

I REALLY REALLY Hate Him!!!

He loves his hometown here. Thats why he came back and I again will wager he will stay until he retires AS an Astro.

Ok but have they got Clemmens yet? NO but until they get another good pitcher they will not make the playoffs

They almost made the playoffs 2 seasons ago with journeyman pitchers... Clemmens would take them to the American League Championship Series...
