I'm making plans to go to Laguna Seca for the MotoGP race this year. Did anyone form here go last year? I have some questions...
Do I need to buy grandstand tickets or can I sit on the hills? I checked the hotels in Moterey and they are crazy expensive, what are some towns within a 20 mile radius that I can check? I'm planning on flying into LAX and renting a car (I want to visit LA for a couple of days). Good idea or no? Suggestions?
Does anyone know what day they are running AMA Superbike? I can't find the schedule for the weekend anywhere...
Thanks in advance! I appreciate any help I can get. :o

We bought GA tickets and sat in the hills where you can see most of the track. The grandstands are cool, but you can't see a lot of the track. We stayed in San Jose and it took right at 30-45 min to get to the track. Traffic is a mother on Sun. too. We where in traffic for about 2hrs. We'll be getting there at 7am this year.
some pics of the Sun traffic and from the hill, take your running shoes!

No prob. If you gots any quest. just let me know.
Oh Yeah............If you can afford to get a bike out there or rent one it would be well worth the money. Since lane splitting is legal in Cal. their commute through the traffic was about 20-30min to our 2hrs.
And the highs where in the high 60's/low 70's and the lows where in the low/mid 50's.

I went last year and it was great! The traffic took well over 2 hours in a car. Renting a bike would definately be the way to go.
