lol yeah I remember all of the concussions. I think Bledsoe has taken far many more hits though than Aikman.

statistically he was a good QB, but my grandma could also have been on that cowboys team. I will say that he was one of the smartest QB's in the game. And he could read defenses and see receivers and the like.

He's probablly one of, if notthe, best commentator available today. He's on the #1 broadcast team, that does the high profile games ,so others do agree with that sentiment.

As far as arrogance....give me a break. Quit hating.

I have never really cared for him or the Cowboys but you got to give his due credit. He got the job done and is pretty good in the boothtoo.

Bledsoe is better statististically. He is in the top 10 in every QB stat. Most under rated QB of all time? I think so

Well nobody will remember Bledsoe 20 yrs from now as much as they will Aikman because of the Super Bowl Titles and such. And it is hard to rack up big passing number like Elway or Marino...especially when the Cowboys had such a potent running game. Aikman is one of the best QB's in NFL history....not THE best but in that elite category. Stats are great for self reflection, but when it comes down to it....I think Lombardi made it famous, "Winning is not everything ---- Its the only thing!"

Wow, because a former cowboy doesn't blindly and biasly make comments in favor of the cowboys during games, you guys turn on him. Way to pay back the best QB that ever put on a Cowboy uniform.

Yup, Hes actually my favorite all-time QB. He may not be the best ever but hes definitely my favorite. Being a little kid, 10 years ago they were winnning SBs and all I heard was him. He was GREAT!

I've always liked him as a player. I can still remember how fun it was to have those superbowl parties. They're getting harder and harder to remember though LOL.

Bledsoe couldn't carry Aikman's jock. To compare the two is fuckin' ludicrous...Aikman made throws that Bledsoe can't even dream about.

I think they should put one fan from each team that is playing in the game, and put them in the annoucing booth and a 24 pack of beer and let them annouce the game :D

Aikman had better recievers then Bledsoes has right now  Not saying Bledsoe is any good but you cant compare the two

No offense Badass2000GT, but you were about 12 when Aikman was in his prime. I don't recall him missing wide open receivers too often, or being 4th in the league in interceptions. He also wasn't known for the late season "fade" that Bledsoe is famous for. On the contrary, Aikman was known for his play in the clutch. Aikman was also on a 1-15 team, and STILL had good stats, even though he was a rookie.

I was 13-14 but whos counting :p I know aikman is a better QB then Bledsoe but Bledsoe didnt have receivers like Aikman did. If Bledsoe was playing with the cowboys when aikman did then I would think Bledsoe would have just as good numbers as aikman did. I mean any decent QB would have done great if he played with the cowboys when they were winning superbowls.

We will have to agree to dissagree. Aikman never had the turnover issues that Bledsoe has had...

I am a little to young to remember the Staubach days but Aikman is the best qb the cowboys have had since I have followed them.Bledsoe doesn't come close.

Liked #8 as a QB... Not a big fan as a broadcaster.
He goes overboard to make sure that nobody thinks he's a homer.

In his efforts to act credible, he comes off as a jerk.

He will figure it out eventually.

Aikman was a great QB, very accurate and strong arm, an important piece in some great teams. I think he does a good job in the booth, I look forward to watching games he does, he is on the number 1 team so Fox must think he is pretty good too.

. If Bledsoe was playing with the cowboys when aikman did then I would think Bledsoe would have just as good numbers as aikman did. He might of had just as good numbers, but I will be willing to bet that the Cowboys wouldn't have won 3 SB's w/ Bledsoe as QB, probably none.

Let's get a few things straight here........Aikman knew when to quit. Aikman had less passing yards for 1 reason and 1 reason only.

He had #22 in the backfield. ANYTIME!! you stick a quarterback with a running back for that many years and you have a running back that becomes the NFLs all time leading rusher.........the quarterback isnt going to have the highest numbers...................make sense???

Bledsoe is a has-been...........He thinks he has 5 minutes to pass the ball and cant figure out why he gets sacked. Its not the OL lines fault, hell they can only protect him for so long........

Aikman shouldnt even be brought up as far as announcers..........John Madden is BY FAR the worse. He says some of the dumbest shit I've ever heard and I cant even believe Aikman is being criticized. He has 3 superbowl rings and more money than we dream about..........like stated before..........stop hating!!

I think your on your period?........................LOL!!!

Good point about Emmitt.
John Elway had great numbers before Terrell Davis and his numbers went down when he came on board.
Steve Young didn't have a great RB so he had to throw most of the time. (And please don't say Ricky Watters was a great RB)
Brett Farve didn't have much of a RB either. (Dorsey Levens sucked and didn't last long in Green Bay)

If Troy doesn't make the Hall of Fame he was Robbed!!! He has more rings that Brett, Steve, and Elway.
