i don't want one of those cheapo wal-mart setups...i want something that is going to last. i've got a gym membership, and i've actually been going somewhat regularly, but it would definitely be a little easier to take care of the cardio at home every morning.

You can go to Nordic Track in Grapevine Mills Mall. Or Sears have nice ones at a reasonable rate.

Classifieds. Some fatass will surely put one up for sale that's been used less than 5 times.

They make great racks to hang your clothes on.

the problem is actually finding one that is decent...people buy these things and never use them and the manufacturers know this and build the machines to suit those people... i want something that is meant to be used because i'll actually use the damn thing!

Hest Fitness in Frisco sells Precore. Those are the same ones as at the gyms. Very Smooth with a good range of motion. Kind of pricey but well worth the money if you are going to actually use it. They range from $2200 to $4000.

from what i understand, most of them lease the equipment, so i guess that i could call the lessor and see how they get rid of the old stuff...

We bought ours at Busy Body in Grapevine for around $1800 it's called Vision Fitness. It is just like the one's at the health clubs, very smooth and built well.

well if budget is no factor i guess...but we got a pretty good one from sears for like 400 or 500. used every single day for 30 minutes to an hour for a year w/no issues.
