They get Adam Eaton from San Diego and I'm listening to ESPN now and Kevin Millwood is in town. I'm not crazy about Eaton, but he's an upgrade over what we have. And Millwood can be dominant. Scott Boras is Millwood's agent, so it'll be interesting to see what happens here. The only thing I didn't like was having to give up Chris Young. Giving up Adrian Gonzalez - I didn't like too much, but he's largely unproven and I'd much rather have Texeira at first and a few pitchers on our team.

I am really surprised they gave up Young to get Eaton. They must see an upgrade there or are scared of Young's arm fatigue from last season.

I am too, but that was by far (40+ innings) more than Young had pitched in any season prior. I would rather see the Rangers have given up Danks or Diamond to get Eaton. Young has big league stuff...the other 2 are unknown. If they blossom, so be it, but I hate trading a known quantity and relying on the "farm".

The good thing about Young was he has proven he can pitch at Ameriquest.Eaton hasn't but he is said to be a good groundball pitcher.Eaton is only two years older and has alot more innings under his belt than Chris Young.I guess the Rangers see him as a more immediate help in the rotation.

Akinori Otsuka is a little up there in age but is supposed to be the real deal.Wicked slider who could close for most teams. He sounds good as a setup too Cordero.
Gonzalez was going nowhere as long as we have Texiera.
The more i think about it, I think this trade will be ok.We still need to sign another starter who can step in asap. Millwood maybe?

So we have Adam Eaton, Padilla, Cameron Loe, Juan Dominguez and HOPEFULLY Kevin Millwood. Actually thats not that bad of a rotation, they might win 85 games this year.
