View Full Version : My girlfriend's lil sister has a theory of Jesus' conception
Its amazing this comes out of a hardcore catholic family but she believes that Mary was raped and Jesus is a bastard child... I thought to myself, man she's crazy, but then I thought... Mary had a virgin baby (what a miricle) and Jesus grew up with out a dad. She was right
Can anyone help explain to me how Jesus was concieved if God was not a human being and Mary was a virgin? We all know it takes sperm and an egg to make a baby. Or is this simply a miricle we cannot explain?
What needs a miracle is your spelling.
LOL J/K Remmember religion has alot to do with faith man. Beleiving in something that you cant see but have faith in it to be true. God planted a seed in virgin MARY and she had JESUS. We dont know if that is 100 true but thats what faith is all about. ;)

Well, if you believe that god created man from sand & then created woman from one of Adam's ribs........then the notion that god impregnated Mary is really easy.
It's divine.

This isn't completely new. There is a school of thought that the historical Jesus was one Yeshu Ben Panderas, son of a Roman soldier who either raped or had an fling with Mary.
The virgin birth concept was not new at the time either, Proteus and Romulus and Remus supposedly were born of virgins.
And the whole virgin birth nonsense was a later addition to christianity by the judaizers. The earliest canon begins with Jesus arriving in Capernaum, and mentions nothing about any birth. It was in fact offensive to many early christians to suggest that christ was born at all.
