For giving us Michael Finley. He's come up with the last 2 game winning buckets for the Spurs. When you have Duncan, Horry, Parker, Van Exel, and Finley on the floor with less than 10 seconds left, a team has to like their chances. Thanks Cuban!

Idiot......

Is that all you got? Hopefully you'll crawl back under your rock after Jan 4 until next bowl season when you can root for next year's #1.

Finley is owed $52 million over the next three years. By designating Finley for amnesty status, the Mavericks would thus stand to save that $52 million because the luxury tax penalizes teams with a dollar-for-dollar levy if you're over the threshold. And Dallas doesn't appear to be going anywhere south of $60 million in the next few years.

Yeah....im an idiot..

We are better off without him and his contract. He was decent in his prime but over the hill now.Him being gone frees up more time for Howard,Daniels, and Harris and its better for the Mavs in the long run.
If the Spurs win again this year, it won't be because of Finley.

Exactly, Josh Howard was showing flashes when Finley was injured last year.
-Saved a buttload of money
-Playin fine w/out him
-San Antonio will probly win it all this year again because Dampier is hopeless

When did I ever call you an idiot?

I don't care about contracts, the Spurs were well under the cap and got 2 quality free agents this year that made the best team in the league even better. I really doubt the Mavs are better without Finley. How can you lose one of your top scorers, replace him with an aging defensive player that plays maybe 10 games then retires, and be a better team? The season is still early, and I'm sure there will be times when the Mavs will miss Fin's offense.

See ya in the playoffs Mavs, if you can get passed the first 2 rounds this year :)

Do you even watch a Mavericks game?

San Antonio will probly win it all..they probly have the best 5 starting in the NBA, Pistons come in close second...

But Mavs arnt missing a beat of Finley..
Josh Howard,Marquis Daniles and Van Horn have filled it easily.

We are one game behind San Antonio..
OMG..where is Micheal FINLEY???????
will somebody please call Micheal Finley, and tell me why Mavericks are so horrible this year :p

This is like your third post already this year kissing on Finleys nutsack and proclaiming how great the Spurs are with him.Did you watch last nights loss to OKC/NO? Finley missed about 4 shots in the final 3 minutes or so that would have gotten them back in the game.

Let me repeat what i said earlier..If the Spurs win it all this year it won't be because of Finley.

I don't think I've proclaimed they're going to win it all because of Finley

But when it comes to the Spurs, they lacked a player with a decent mid-range jumper and Finley fills that spot. He's won 2 games for the Spurs this year with those jumpers. I just like laughing at all the Mavs fans that always think their team is better next season no matter what off-season moves were made. Did the Mavs really get better by letting go of Fin and signing Christie?

well im a mavs fan and i thought the Christie signing was stupid..we will never win a championship w/out a Center

Of course the Christie signing was a waste but it is totally irrelevant right now.Finley was a streak shooter who's production has declined every year.He was a poor defender who didnt rebound very well or play tough on the perimeter. His ability to drive to the basket and get fouled was compromised due to his age and injuries.

We are a better team than last year because of better defense, especially on the perimeter. Its a credit to the continuing development of Howard,Daniels, and Harris which would have been stunted with Finley still here.

I'll talk before then. Dallas has been so close in the past, but needed defense to get over the hump. I think we've seen that Dallas can play D this year. And based on what I've seen when Dallas has played San Antonio and Detroit, I'd say Dallas was the better team. I can't help it S.A. got lucky once against Dallas.

The Spurs have played the Hornets once this year
What the hell...Hawks...Hornets...they're all the same :D

well im a mavs fan and i thought the Christie signing was stupid.Agreed.

Dallas and S.A. will be neck and neck until the end of the season barring any major injuries.

Seriously, why the hell did we need Finley this year?

Are we going to let a player like Josh Howard sit on the bench?
Mavericks are playing fine, we just need a person at Center, DIOP has impressed me alot. I say by next year, he can handle our type of offense and bring defensive strength.

Bye Bye Dampier, we wont need you next year.
