LOL at the the quote. But does anybody ever notice how Madden will say that a certain player is the greatest in the league at a position ( usually running back/QB/Recievers), then the very next week he will say the exact same thing about another player in that same position.

I am not too fond of madden myself...but Brent Musberger totally blows. I hate that guy with a passion. He should not be allowed to call football games.

On the other hand "Who is the best Sportscaster?" I like Keith Jackson when he does college football and such.

I dislike most local sports guys, no matter where I live. I mean be a fan, maybe even lean towards biased, but when you KNOW an obvious call goes against your team, don't act like your team can do no wrong.

He gets my second vote. I had to think about it. But with the drinking game, I can actually watch a game that he calls. But Walton, I don't care if the Mavs are in Game 7 of the NBA Championship game . . . I will not watch it if he's calling it.

I guess the top on my list would be Phil Simms on CBS. I guess he is an ok broadcaster, but his voice shoots through me like a sharp knife.

Moose Johnston has the same problem . . . he's a really great Football mind, and becoming a good broadcaster. But someone needs to tell him to tone it down a little also.

I voted Musburger. I'm not as fond of Gary Thorne as some others here, and having listened to every broadcast team in the NHL, I'd have to say the Dallas area is blessed to have Ralph & Razor. They are far less biased than 99% of all hockey broadcasts, including OLN/ESPN.

Keith Jackson is great, Craig Way (UT), Vern Lundquist are also fantastic, and do their research, not just th eplayers but in "How to call a game". Then again maybe I'm biased...they've all taught me at some point.

Im going to have to disagree with you on Ralph and Razor. They see thru green colored glasses atleast 90% of the time. At the same time the old ESPN/OLN group is in love with the Rangers/Colorado

I'm not as fond of Gary Thorne as some others here,

I just like the way he gets excited for every goal during the playoffs. It really doesn't matter which team scores. However, when he calls other sports, he's not that good. He called an Aggie game this year on ABC and I was dissappointed with his call.
