If I was a Stars fan I would be scared of the matchup tonight, starting a long road trip 0 and 2 is a large hill to overcome. Spezza is out tonight tho so that may help the cause some but watch for Patrick Eaves. A rookie flying under the radar who can make a difference.

Buffalo's playing really well right now. 11-1 in their last 12 I believe? With those results, if you were Dallasstars281, you'd be predicting a Stanley Cup Victory via sweep of the opposing conference team.

Ahhh the ol was it or wasnt it a goal debate haha. Had to take that shot at you, but seriously Buffalo has looked good the last month or so and when Ryan Miller gets back they will have two solid keepers. The only thing I dont like about the Sabres is Vanek tho. He is one of the more overrhyped rookies in a while in my eyes.

He isnt confined to the bench, they have been giving him nights off alot through out the season so that he doesnt get worn down for playoffs, and emery had been on a hot streak so they started him. I was a bit disappointed in the game (being a Sens fan) but Dallas played good positional hockey in the defensive zone and Turco was red hot.

I've argued that point on the Buffalo/Stars final a thousand times on here all the way back to 2001. Save yourself the aggravation, it's like banging your head against a brick wall.
Btw-You from Buffalo? I've caught a couple of games at HSBC arena over the past 5 years. When I first started watching hockey, I pulled for Buffalo. I was always partial to Buffalo because i'm a huge Miro Satan fan. Although Gretzky is what pulled me towards hockey and the Kings, it wasn't until I saw Hasek play that I started watching on a regular basis.

Barnaby is a crazy bastard man, I love watching him play. I was sold on him completely when he was still in Buffalo and they played the Stars here and him and hatcher fought, he pulled the classic barnaby move by ducking the punches then as Hatcher would pull back to throw another he would just smile at him with that big grin you always see on him when hes on the ice. Then to top it off he raises the roof leaving the ice, classic but you have to love a guy who plays with the heart he has.

But i'm so glad ya'll are talking hockey. I'm tired of all this Vince Young, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart bullshit! We need to keep hockey talk up! :D
Dallas has always had their ups and downs in the season, and aren't always consistant, but always manage to make it to the playoffs. And everyone always knows that Ottawa falls off at the end of the playoffs. Maybe that will change for them this year. They have always had a good team, and i wouldn't mind seeing them going to the finals.

And the Stars don't owe Buffalo jacksh*t. The only think that makes the Buffalo supporters mad is that they didn't review the play and just called the game over. Even with the review, the goal would have counted - if I'm remembering correctly. Hull got his own rebound ... and he was the only player who could legally touch the puck in the crease. Had it been anyone else - or had he been in the crease on the initial shot, the goal would have been waived off. I know how all of you are on here - so go ahead somebody and correct me.

I'll bite.
Rule 78 section (b): "Unless the puck is in the goal crease area, a player of the attacking side MAY NOT STAND IN THE GOAL CREAS. If a player has entered the crease prior to the puck and the puck should enter the net while such conditions prevail, the apparent goal shall not be allowed."
Rule 33 (b) "the player last touched by the puck shall be deemed to be in possession. REBOUNDS off goalkeepers pads or other equipment shall not be considered as a change of possession or completion of the play by the team when applying rule 33(b) Therefore Hull was NOT in possession.
If the goal was so legitimate, please explain to me why they changed the rule the following season. You are now allowed to stand in the crease. Nice black eye on the NHL. You can't, and the rules cleared show that the goal should have been waived off.
Terry Gregson-Nhl Referee "I pointed at the net indicating that the puck had gone in; it crossed the goal line, but I was not absolutely sure Hull wasn't in the crease."

Good call douche bag, Kings win. You continue to spare us to death with your stupidity. You really have to be an asshat to say the Stars would rape the Kings considering the outcome of the previous two matchups. Should I remind you? I should because you continue to prove you don't know shit about hockey with idiotic statements like the one above. The Kings won the last two matchups 7-2 and 6-3.

Dude...were you even at the game? The Stars RAPED them!!! Fully and totally up and down the ice. If it wasnt for the referees and LA's defense/offense/goalie the Stars would have won by a landslide.

LOL, you beat me in here to say it. 2 men short on top of several key injuries to boot (5 starters out not including Dempsey not playing at the last minute and Brown getting hurt in the 1st). Thats 7 starters, 5 replaced by rookies from the Manchester Monarchs.

No doubt. I've never been down on AM, but i've had my doubts with the way things have gone the last few seasons. Tonight he erased those doubts.

The stars killed themselves, not the refs. None of the calls i saw were bs. Aside from penaltys the stars looked decent, just they fucked themselves over.

Thats fine if you wanna look at it that way, but call them both way's. The kings should have been called down on a few things as well. It was a lackluster ref job.

Ok once again, none of the calls were bs. They called things on the kings as well, and on top of that the stars mistakes were pretty obvious. Blaming the refs for this one won't work.

Actually, the ref's missed an interference call on Ott (I believe it was Ott, or Klemm) late in the 3rd that had the crowd and Andy Murray in an uproar. So missed calls went both ways.

I know when my teams don't play well, which is quite often, so I know what I'm talking about. Stars fans rarely ever admit when they get beat. There seems to be always something else to blame the loses on.
My hovkey team sucks for the most part but you'll hear me say they play like shit before you'll hear me blame it on the refs.

LOL, thats how a real fan handles it. Unless the refs actually did fuck things up, like hollywood and I have mentioned before. As for stars fans only, I think it's all texas teams.

Well said. They rarely give props to opposing teams. I went over to the Stars board last night, and I read "The better team lost tonight" and "We keep losing to a mediocre team." Mediocre? Kings are in first and have been for most of the season with the exception of 2 weeks when the Stars grabbed the lead, on top of that, the Kings prior to last nights game were 3-1 against the Stars going into that game. Two of those were blowouts in favor of the Kings. The only "contender" the kings have been unable to beat in mutiple games thus far has been Detroit. They have handled Colorado, Vancouver and Calgary for a combined 6-1. Throw in Toronto and Nashville and they are 8-2. The Kings are by no means invincible, i'm just aggravated by the lack of respect they get from a team they can't seem to lose to.

I know right?!?!?? How can anyone still like a sport where they play with broken body parts, don't piss and moan about getting called for a penalty, don't have their own clothing line of XXXXL pants, aren't covered in tattoos, don't have $120,000,000 contracts, don't need more than 21 points to win a game, and actually make contact with other players without the refs blowing the whistle every 32.6 seconds.

You forgot the part where every team has 16 timeouts a piece because the 23 TV timeouts during the game aren't enough.

I watched both games.
I was pretty happy to be offered two tickets to the game tonight.
However, I was very humbled when my lady friend and I found out that the tickets belonged to an empty suite. If you ever have the chance to watch a game from the suites, do not miss the chance.
