View Full Version : Burleson GTG 12/16 7PM Hobby Lobby Parking lot

Like i first posted when I started the GTG, i think Hobby Lobby/KFC parking lot would be excellent. There is an Autozone, (for people who might need jumper cables)J/K, in the same parking. and also blockbuster. and if you want to stop by hobby lobby you might see me working. And maybe get a discount!!! Well let me know what you all think, because last weeks GTG seemed to have dwindled. I want to put on another 26 cars at least. Acctually i would like to see everyone bring anyone they know that has a sports car, so we can do it big in burleson. I think it would be sweet to see 50 cars all lined up. Especially if they were mustangs. So dont be scared to bring your friends. Even camaros are invited. And i might think about hondas......

For those with low clearance, go in by Blockbuster. There are some nasty entances in that parking lot...

I might be convinced to attend this...I do need some model paint for my 67 GT500! :D


90 - are we going to be run off by the cops, even though we will be in a parking lot not harassing/doing burnouts/taking up space/loitering? (not to mention freezing!)...just trying to cover all the bases here...make or break GTG = attendance

I finally made it home yesterday and I will be looking forward to making this GTG. However, I will not be rolling in the hot rod since the motor is still out of it so I hope ya'll don't mind a F-250 turbo diesle. With its two batteris it is great for giving people a jump. :D I will probably be up there with Stang9227 aka "The Miller Guy" as I'm told ya'll know him by.

Sorry guys. I'm not up for hanging in a parking lot in cold weather. If and when it moves back indoors somewhere, I'll show back up :)

Yeah, I'm not really up for standing in the cold since I've been trying to get a chest cold for a week now :( AND the cops will run us off of that parking lot since we'll be strictly loitering.

Can we possibly re-think the location? or just keep it at the cabana?

Whatever happened with the idea of having the GTG in the Lowes/Overtime parking lot? That's a big parking lot and everyone could go inside the O.T to get out of the cold weather.

+1 for not wanting to stand in the cold. The Taco Cabana seemed like a good deal. Lots of space inside. We can do the outside thing in the spring.

I think it would be in our best interest to move it to a location where we can go inside. Personally I think the Lowes/O.T parking lot will work best because when you are at a sports bar like that you can justify hanging out more so than a resturant, where one could argue that there is no reason for us to continue hanging out if we are no longer eating. Just my .02 but I'm down for just about anything.

The Taco Cabana up north for the Tuesday GTG doesn't seem to mind us being there. People would trickle in from 7:00 to 10:00 and people were ordering food and drinks all night. Beer, chips, etc. I thought the Taco Cabana on Alsbury in Burleson was good to go.

Now that makes two of us in favor of O.T. What about everyone else? We need some sort of majority so that we can pass the word on and don't end up with people spread out over three or four different meeting places. So lets here it everyone. Where would you all like to meet up at?

I think O.T or Cabana is great, I'm out on the Burleson hobby lobby/ KFC thing...Cabana parking was a little tight, but the inside was roomy (just don't place an order with the goofy 16 yr old who can't serve BEER or work a computer)...

sounds good to me! That's how it's been working out the past few weeks anyway...the main gtg...then ANYONE who wants to join that can...all go to the next stop of the evening together.

I say we tenatively plan on keeping it at the cabana, then we all decide where to go from there once we all know who's goin'

I completely forgot about being 21. In that case I like the Cabana idea with the O.T as another option for those that would like to go there.

we need to confirm the gtg location will indeed be the cabana, but most people are leaning towards it vs. a parking lot gtg....

I think it's safe to say it'll most likely be at the Taco Cabana for the gtg and will start at 7 and go from there. I will be there by 8pm fo sho :D

Word has been passed....taco cabana 7pm start time...probably 8:30-9pm stop time (for those leaving together to roll on over to the overtime for beer n pool) :D
